'Hidden down a dirt road awaits a rural escape. This was a great place to stay, comfortable, private and surrounded by nature. The location is only a 15 minute drive to La Fortuna and a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. Our Host responses were prompt and we highly recommend.'

'We had a great few days at Finga Manclar. The staff looked after us very well. We went full board and we had excellent local food. We also did most of the trips with Luis which were great fun - tubing, fishing, mangrove tour, waterfall, horse riding. Rooms don't have A/C but the fans were good. Make sure you bring plenty of beers and mosquito spray for sitting out on the veranda chillaxing. 'This listing was exactly as pictured, and we loved the large picture windows that let in the wonderfully cool breeze. That made the whole experience. There were construction projects going on, but they weren’t disruptive to the experience.'

'The farmhouse is OK. Host is very friendly and helpful. But the second night we didn't have hot water at all and found a pretty big scorpion and a tarantula on the wall and on the ceiling.'
