'Voormalige britse kolonien staan erom bekend dat het een rommeltje is. Rex Resort en Antigua zijn daarop geen uitzondering. Het weer en de vriendelijkheid van sommige lokale bevolking maakt echter wat ons betreft veel goed. De openlijke corruptie bij het verlaten van het eiland(Embarkation tax $210 was wel de limit wat mij betreft. 'This is an older hotel, not too far from the docks. You can see the cruise ships from your balcony. It was clean and accessible with ramps outside and an elevator. It is right across the street from cute little shops and a few restaurants. Every place I went into took USD. Need to be careful crossing the street. Cars come flying over the hill sometimes! Staying there was great…part of the adventure!'

'I loved the property and how it was set up. A few tiny things niggled me. The jacuzzi bath didn't have a stopper so couldnt use it as a bath. The shower wasnt cleaned properly, there was hairs all over. No other plugs for international guests. Some of the lights didnt work.'

'The resort was beautiful, clean , and in the center of everything. I enjoyed Casa Roots restaurant however it’s not in walking distance so a cab is recommended. Also they’re only 3 options of restaurants on the property to eat and their hours vary . I enjoyed the Antigua breakfast at Salt Plage the best . Sandals resort is next door however in order to eat at their restaurants you have to purchase a day pass and I don’t know how much that is. Don’t get suckered I’m to paying for beach chairs ....

'Though my stay was more business oriented, the stay was very peaceful and easy to get work done in a very relaxed setting. Room was very comfortable and staff was helpful and friendly. It is a very peaceful and safe location, perfect to work from, the veranda of the room (each room has separate area) that overlooks the bay/harbour was ideal to wake early in the mornings to work.'
