Loved my stay, usually do not write reviews but decided to leave a mark this time. Service - great, special thanks to Ivan and Carolina for accommodating my requests. Wi-fi - great, available across the whole property. Food - usual mexican one, always smth to find. Beach and areas - well maintained. The issue in this hotel is with A/Cs. They are so dated that never work, neither in rooms nor in common areas, you can not hide from the heat. Buildings have 3 levels, ground floors have AC working but the rooms have crazy smell of mold, we had to change it, with Ivan’s ( blond guy at the front desk, very nice to chat with and always eager to help or improve customer experience, THANKS A TON!)help moved to the 3rd floor which is much drier but A/C works very poorly, so, the nights were sweaty in unpleasant way. On the good side, the hotel does go through renovation, as concludes , should get a perfect score from me.

1. Staff was completely dishonest its feels like its there way of doing business. A. when checking in they told me my room was not ready and it was 4pm and so they got me to another room that was more away from the beach only to later learn that the room i paid for was already taken. B. The planner i used (theres 1 for every hotel building) her nickname was (ice) would tell me the 100$ coupon can be used for anything including going to a theme park by the hotel. That was untrue, its only for the spa. 2.The whole resort would not use there A/C! A. That includes your Room!! It berly works and i even moved to another room incase if that room was bad, but no theyre the same B. The buffet room was super hot and when i ask they would always say its not working. C. My wife and i would be hot the whole time in areas inside resort. 3.Food was pretty lame A. Most of the food is cheap, only time its decent is when u got a dinner scheduled( which is hard gettingscheduled) B. They have lots of the same food everywhere. 4.Rooms are low tier A. The 2 rooms i had didnt have good AC, we where sweating in our sleep. B. The fan is installed away from the bed. Had to sleep on the couch C.the jacuzzi would not hold water D. You can hear everything outside the door.(very possibly they can hear you inside too.) I would not recommend at all unless you got a really good deal. It’s a large beautiful place with lots to offer. Unfortunately the lack of trolleys to help people get around was of concern. They had vip trolleys empty and would still not let you catch a ride even though they were heading the direction needed. Wasting time and resources while hurting guest experience. The lack of working AC in rooms was also unacceptable. We shouldn’t have to sweat at night trying to sleep. Food was fine. Dining was fine. It’s a large place and if you have anyone going with you who may have trouble walking miles and miles a day to get from various points throughout resort do not go. There are no trolleys to pick you up.

We had a really fun family trip here. The pool activities and entertainment was a little too noisy for our liking but we found lots of other quiet pools and beach places. The taco bar and the coffee shop were our favorites. Omg the rock show cover band was awesomely entertaining. Food was OK, lots to choose from but not really gourmet. The staff was so kind and accommodating. One strange thing my husband accidentally left his passport in the safe. It was awful. We got to the airport and called the hotel multiple times and they insisted it wasn't there...until our last ditch effort- we canceled our flights and called them one last time the next day. They had it! Why didn't they call us?? So strange. We got an extended vacation in Cancun and a good scare. If you lose something be persistent and speak with the lost and found staff I guess. The resort is also a bit of a drive from Cancun....and the road there is sporty! Overall great family fun to be had and we felt very safe and pampered. The ocean views were extraordinary.

The property is being remodeled so the noise should not be taken into account much but: During the stay the air conditioning was either damaged or very old which caused long hot nights, the second night around 2am due to the heat already mentioned I decided to take a shower and there was no water either, oh not to mention that a couple of times they cut the electricity (short term). On the other hand, there are quite a few food options which I consider very good. Finally, the concierge invites us to visit the other part of the hotel that is growing, which we found interesting since we could see if it would be worth returning in the future and guess what: a whole morning with the staff of the supposed area VIP trying to sell me a membership to make me a member of their club (not interested in the absolute) and about two hours later, already somewhat angry at the insistence, I reiterated that I am not interested and of course they did not like this answer and they left me march no longer with the kind attitude they initially had when they thought he would be easy prey. An unforgettable vacation lol, every day thinking what will happen next??

The building is non functional. Bad Air conditioner, shower didn't work well, went out of water, the employees were so nice, but the hotel was not ok. They said it was because they are remodeling the building but i think it has nothing with that.

The Grand Sirenis captured more memorable experiences within one week than I ever could have dreamed of. Staff, friends, please forgive me if I miss your name, but I will never forget your receptiveness: Isaac, Edgar, Jesus, Cecilia, Alfreda, Angel, Araceli, my Mayan teacher, oh my goodness, everyone is Excelente!!! Me, I Love Water & Culture. I did not have enough time to capture all that there was to offer here, that says A LOT! The adventurous hike to the lagoon (a picture from the Pirates of the Caribbean, I swear). A jungle walk to a secluded Cenote. A “let’s just dip our toes in the water” moment surrounded by crystal clear water and white sandy beaches excitingly distracted by “oh my goodness, the fish are circling all around me!!!”. A comforting climb to a Mayan ruin on sight…Whaaaat?!? . A morning bike ride filled with wonder, laughter, knowledge, and freedom. Food from all over the word, entertainment for every vibe, smiles…absolute beauty. Like I said, I didn’t even scratch the surface. Thank You Grand Sirenis!!!

Absolutely gorgeous resort with animals everywhere! Food was great in both the buffets and specialty restaurants. Everyone was so nice and my son loved taking the golf carts around! The pools were awesome and so was the beach! We can’t wait to go back next year!

I was stunned at how amazing the property was. Our room was huge and they accommodated our two room request for connecting rooms. The staff was polite and enthusiastic about their jobs. You could tell they took their positions serious and were extremely respectful to guests. The pools were clean and entertainment was chill. My family did not want a party atmosphere and this place provided the relaxation we desired. The beach was surprising. I had snorkel gear and was able to find reefs around the beach. That was amazing! There was also a little temple you could swim to and enjoy the views. The only issue I had was when staff was serving food they used their hands instead of wearing gloves. Your visit also includes a free dolphin show and a visit to the spa for the hydro massage pools. Would definitely return. 10/10

This resort is beautiful. It is a shame the experience we had. We were a group of 9 and they greeted us so warmly which was lovely. When we got to our rooms only one of the rooms had ac the other two rooms were hot the whole time. We had an issue with one of the servers not wanting to help us during breakfast. Then we were not able to go to any of the restaurants we could only access the buffet. We were told the first day we couldn’t because we weren’t in the system and by the time we went to book early day too all the reservations were gone and it was a short trip so we didn’t have any other days to do that. The pizza place would only allow us 2 pizzas. 2 small pizzas for 9 people! 😂😂 Lovely resort just be prepared to not have access to the restaurants if you’re on a short trip and for some silly rules. Also you will walk a lot! They have a shuttle but it take 10 min to get to you so you mind as well walk.

We stayed for one week and you had to make reservations for the restaurants and they were booked you could only get them for late at night after 10pm. We were out of hot water for one day and no wifi for one day either. Staff were annoyed when you asked them a question or if something spilled and they had to clean up. The frown on you if you have younger kids that need assistance. Some areas had no A/C. Kids pool is being remodeled and pools are peeling from the tiles. Room elevator was not working and it made it a hassle if you have strollers and are on 3 floor. Lobby elevator was also not working. Not family friendly if you have kids 6 and under. A lot of walking since property is large. Food was decent, nice vegetation and eco areas, beautiful beach with clear water and white sand.... Beach was absolutely stuning and beautiful. Will not stay there again..

We spent 7 days at Sirenis Riviera Maya, and all around had a positive experience. We enjoyed the dining options , as well as the bartenders and the overall atmosphere in the pool areas. We did have a couple issues with our room , including the jacuzzi tub not working and a half a day without any running water. These weren’t the end of the world as we did have water bottles stocked daily in the room , however they were a minor inconvenience to our honeymoon experience. I would recommend this resort to other people , as it was a rather lovely stay. Alonso went above and beyond to help us have a safe and smooth trip , and Jorge made great recommendations on seeing the area outside and around the resort.

Property in a whole needs updating, rooms a little run down. Food was ok, we didn't starve, We were able to get 6 al a carte so that helped. Most disappointed in the fact that half the resort was shut down due renovations and we were not notified. So we didn't get the full experience we paid for. This stay was very pleasant. There was one day we had no power and no water other than that no complaints the food was excellent. Staff could be more on top of refilling water bottles in the rooms. found the resort to be very clean. Felt safe , the staff was very pleasant and friendly. Was very satisfied that you could get food anywhere on the resort. The entertainment was amazing the pool entertainment Christopher made our visit very eventful He was so friendly. Overall it was great. Karen who works the quiet poolside area was fantastic. Juan who works at the lobby bar was also great. He makes delicious Monte Cristos. Just make sure to book dinner reservations early. There are very limited spots even though the restaurants never seemed to be very busy. The Italian was our least favorite. The Japanese restaurant was really nice. The lunch time tacos available by the beach were also really nice. The lazy river is really cool and something all of us enjoyed. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The rooms seem nice and are up to date. There are renovations taking place but honestly we didnt even notice and they are doing a great job of not having that interfere with the experience of staying there.

I wish I could give no stars to this resort . We have never have had a resort receive us with pure rudeness. Day1- As soon as we checked in we were welcomed by nice people at the front desk , we did have to wait since our room had to have curtains replaced ? ( which is okay ) We get to our room , our A/C was down for 2 days ( 93 temp outside ) of course as a family of 5 this puts stress. Day 2- we give it another try and start our day with a positive mind and have breakfast, husband sits us at a table with our kids - to be rudely greeted by the waiter , he was mad we got our own silverware and said the boss would get mad at him and expressed to us why we couldn’t we couldn’t sit elsewhere. ( we were hot and tired from the night before and just wanted a nice breakfast) I explained that there is a way to talk to “Customers” or “ Guests” and this was not it . I still tipped him , and thanked him for the service. The next day , we sat in his area by accident and he refused to serve us ( another waiter told him we needed drinks ) and he said he wasn’t doing it. We have never felt so disrespected and hated the fact that this was the only place we could eat at due to this employee . All the restaurants are full ahead of time, It’s impossible to make a reservation. Concierge and the front desk do not have good communication with each other . Mexico is always our favorite place to travel to and out of 20 years of coming , this was our First TERRIBLE stay.

The property is under renovations, which we knew when we booked. Therefore there was half the people. Beach/pools/restaurants were alwasys available, good thing. The staff was excellent. Diego and Cristoffer were are concierges any issue we had ( which were minor) they had corrected in a timely fashion. Karin at the big pool looked after us daily. Great lady. Ivan at the main desk also did every thing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Again, the staff was excellent. I would recommend Sirenus to my friends and family. Great vacation. We were there for seven days. During those seven days, our room had intermittent running water. There was mold in our shower. Hot water was sometimes unavailable. The sink was clogged, and the toilet wouldn't flush. The room had trouble cooling off, and some nights I woke up sweating. We ate at different locations. One of them never served us anything to drink. We literally finished eating without a cup of water. We had to get up, walk to the bar, and request water. The workers there gave us an attitude. On our way out, our sink started spewing dark water, so I had to use a bottle of purified water to brush my teeth instead. While the resprt does have a nice ocean view and pools to entertain the negatives simply overshadowed the positives. Not bieng able to sleep on our bed because sleeping on a couch located underneath a cieling fan IS NOT GOOD AT ALL.
