The staff were exceptionally pleasant. The room was very clean and homey. The setting is beautiful. Wonderful place.

Schoon, sfeervol, fantastisch ontbijt

The estate is beautiful, the food and wines are excellent, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We especially loved the family-friendly atmosphere, and Wonderdal was a highlight for our 6-year-old son. One small recommendation for families: some dishes in South Africa can be quite spicy, so it's worth checking before ordering for children. Our son became unwell one evening after eating a spicy dish, and the hotel team was incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire situation. Their genuine hospitality made an already amazing stay even more memorable. We would gladly return and highly recommend Hazendal.

Absolut empfehlenswert !

This countryside hotel has everything to make it a perfect holiday destination. The only thing that could be improved was the service. It was a bit messy. Another guest’s laundry bag was misplaced in our room, we reported a wasp nest on our balcony after check in, but it was still there the day we left. And the service at the dinner was not the best. Example; offering to bring some mayonaise, but then never actually delivering it. The staff is the sweetest you can get. But some training would make a huge difference. That said. Hotel and rooms are beautiful!

From the moment we arrived we knew we'd found a little piece of heaven. The welcome could not have been more friendly and accommodating, the design and quality and maintenance of the buildings is immaculate. It sits in a tranquil area where the only sounds are the wind and wildlife. But the single thing that stands out the most and made our stay so special and memorable was the kindness, attentiveness, friendliness and superb service from all the staff. Even the gardeners waved a friendly "good morning" each day! Special mention needs to go to Cerene and Nicky who was absolutely superb, but the shining star was Troye. He did not miss a trick and his general knowledge and wonderfully warm personality were the best we've experienced. He's definitely found his calling in hospitality. Angala was everything we were looking for and more and we will most definitely be back. Thanks to everyone for giving us such a wonderful and memorable stay.
