Overall, my stay was decent, but there were a few things that kept it from being a standout experience. I wish my room felt more updated and modern, especially compared with some of the other rooms I saw online. I also encountered quite a few bugs, including gnats, mosquitoes, and even a couple of crabs in the room. I understand that being surrounded by a jungle environment naturally comes with some insects I just didn't realize how much of a jungle setting it would actually be! That said, the number of bugs did make it a little difficult to fully relax, particularly when trying to enjoy room service, as there were flying gnats around the food. The shower could have used a more thorough cleaning as well, and the room service was just okay. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I loved Spice Market and Rubra. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy the pools much, and because my room was fairly far from many of the amenities, I eventually got tired of taking the golf cart everywhere and didn't venture out as much. Ultimately, I ended up checking out a night early and spending my final night at another hotel, as I wasn't quite getting the relaxing experience I had hoped for. There were definitely some highlights to my stay, but given the price point, I expected a bit more.
