Cottages in Wood Valley

'The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. '

'I loved the secret garden the owner had constructed! The property could be a bit tricky to find, I would recommend to check in before dark. There are great dining options nearby, including vegetarians.'

'Todd’s place is an amazing hideaway near Volcano NP. Easy access into the park and the hot tub is perfect after a long day hiking in the park. Great place and awesome host!'

'This is our second time to stay here. We loved it, and came back because it was so quiet and comfortable, and such a beautiful place and view. The yurts are well equipped and clean. The elevation makes for comfortable cool, but not cold, nights. The central sky light is spectacular at night with so many stars. It is calm and quiet and beautiful with various flowers. But it is easily accessed from Kona South Point and Volcanoes National Park. If we get back to the big island again, we hope to...

'We had a wonderful stay at La Cappana. The historic cabin is in a fantastic location in Volcano town right near the Kilauea Lodge with its fantastic restaurant and the Swap Meet at the community center, and a quick and easy drive to the best of Volcano National Park. Even though it is so close to everything Volcano has to offer, the property feels very private with lots of native plants and trees. 'Super comfortable for a couple. Interaction with host was easy and prompt. Cottage was spotless, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean with fluffy white towels and useful supplies. The covered garden area was a peaceful space to relax in after a day in the park or on the golf course.'

'Having never stayed in a Yurt of grid i was Amazed at how nice it was. I followed the rule of laundry during the day and had no issues. I titled this country because of the chickens and dogs, if you want a quite nights rest this isn't for you. If you are used to dogs barking and roasters crowingfrom 3am on then you'll be fine.
