'This was a historic stay. We loved the tiny details and felt like we had stepped back in time to a Jane Austen novel. Highly recommend for people who love old mansions. I taught my daughters about encyclopaedias - the google of yore - and we also loved watching the spirit of Tasmania berth. '

'A modern hôtel with a great bathroom facilities and a very good bed. The fridge is a little small but not a big issue. The AC was a bit of a mystery with the room warming up during the night - I should have inquired about this occurrence. The food in the restaurant was very good. Avoid the automatic coffee machine at breakfast- not great. Overall, despite the above comments, I was very happy with this hotel.'

'What a great place to stay in Hawley Beach! Such a beautiful part of the world, and straight across the road from the beach and a terrific cycling/walking path. There are a couple of good food shops about 1.5-2kms away and the Shearwater Food Co. (great takeaways). Can’t wait to go back again sometime!'

'Nice location, very clean, great hot shower, adequately equipped kitchen and good heating. Lounge furniture a little sparse and uncomfortable. The only issue was the bed. While clean and in good condition, but the mattress far too soft for us. Didn’t sleep at all well, woke with back ache.'

'Alice was a perfect host ,always available and nothing too much trouble.The place was right on the beach front with dog park and walking track on your doorstep. There was nothing you needed all available.Clean and very tidy with gardens for your pets or to sit out in . Big bbq also available . Would recommend highly .'

'Arrived at this accomidation late in the evening as we took Spirit of Tasmania so it was only a overnight stay for us. In the korning we were able to admire the beauty of Devonport. Property was right in front of the sea so its perfect for a morning stroll before heading out to explore Tasmania'
