'This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station. We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. 'Lovely clean room, a peaceful location, and an easy walk to city centre. The hosts were excellent, going above and beyond - i needed to check-in early as well as a late check-out and when it looked like my taxi wasn’t going to show up they even got me over to the Spirit of Tasmania. I’m not fond of travelling solo, so being looked after by such kind, caring people is a real pleasure. '

Bev is an amazing hostess - she catered for the birthday function I attended at Tranquilles, serving delicious Thai food as well as the amazing birthday cake. 'The room was nicer than my apartment. I booked the room with the jetted tub, but was given the room with a sauna. That was my only disappointment. The room was amazing. There was a full kitchen in the apartment, including a large fridge and freezer. It also had everything you could possibly need to cook a small meal. The recliners were very comfortable. The bed was extra soft and had a heated mattress. The shower was extra hot and the water pressure was perfect. I really enjoyed the towel...
