'The apartment was dirty and dusty. We were 3 people and didn’t get the 2 bedroom apartment because we wanted the one that had the private hot tub in the balcony which only had one bedroom and when we got in the place to be able to relax the hot tub was dirty and broken and I told them and they wouldn’t send anybody to come fix it. Also the dishes were dirty and the sink in the kitchen barely had water to wash dishes, the water in the shower was like salt water terrible, and no where to find...

'Better than hoped.Food was delicately prepared , clean, delicious beautiful presentation. A truly genius chef! Staff were friendly, kind, and gracious. The grounds were clean, breezes seemingly directed where needed. The staff know their stuff.'

'The hotel is very pretty, so are the rooms. The prices for food are ridiculous however and not very good. We ordered traditional Mexican foods and they served it with sweet sauce! And then they still dare to over charge. Also the cabs that arrive at the hotel only try to rip off tourists. '

However if you market yourself as a family friendly hotel and you cannot offer hot water at night for a formule bottle, or any baby friendly food, im not very sure. The first we got with our 15 months old had a bathroom outside, without any closed of door. We asked for an upgrade (which we paid) as we thought it would have a bathtub. 'Wat een geweldig hotelletje. Aan het gezellig drukke doorgaande straatje in Tulum beach ligt dit zeer leuk ingerichte hotel. (Geen last vd straat) Kamer hebben zeer goede bedden, wij hadden een standaard kamer, met koelkastje. Wel wat weinig opbergruimte. Je loopt binnen een paar passen het strand op waar ze heerlijke ligstoelen en bedden hebben met parasols(gratis). Verder beschikken ze over een zeer goed restaurant. 'Perfect location, but a pity that there was too much seaweed. The hotel does a lot to remove it, but in our case it was impossible to enter the water. Appartments are very nice, but when you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that is not close to the road behind. For us it was no problem. '

'Upon arrival, all of the stuff was super sweet. I was traveling solo and since I already had a bad experience with the prior to hotel services, it was refreshing to receive service like Astral. Staff ALWAYS checked up on me to see if I needed anything from food to cleaning to small chats. Everyone was super kind.
