« The Grove Park Inn used to be a five star property. It’s a 3 at best today. We went to the GPI to celebrate my son’s birthday. Just to hit the high notes, the service from the staff was terrible. They obviously have very little training in hospitality. Absolutely no enthusiasm by the person in the Cafe, the Concierge, or the wait staff. Additionally, the Edison restaurant was a big disappointment. Our waiter rushed us through our dinner, even though there were very few guests in the restaurant....

« Tv reception was horrible worst I’ve ever seen. The lighting in the bedroom was like being in a cave. The smoke detector blinked all night long. Laying in bed and looking up at an unfinished ceiling reminded me of being in the fifth grade and throwing spit balls to see if they stuck. « I paid almost double for a higher floor and got the 2nd floor. At 8am sharp there was construction going on right outside my balcony to repair the restaurant porch. A warning in this would have been nice. The appears to be no drainage and the parking lot sidewalk etc get swamped with the slightest of rain. Just another crappy tourist trap. »

« My sisters and I enjoyed the location , walking distance to restaurants was wonderful!! The staff was super friendly and accommodating!! On each floor there’s a microwave just in case you need to warm something up and mini fridge in room is very much appreciated!! Great place , will definitely stay there again !! Nicole »

« Our unit was very clean. The unit was well furnished, excellent amenities. Outdoor needs renos. There are stairs, you may need to carry your luggage upstairs. The area is mostly quiet, but... Suites have a communicating door that let the sounds (voices and tv) go through easily. Maintenance starts making noise before 8AM every morning and nobody seems to care; I've talk to people at the desk and the answer I got meant "it is what it is, it won't change, we don't care" »

« It is true that the hotel is well located, in the city center near the basketball stadium. The staff is friendly and welcoming. But the quality/price ratio is purely scandalous. $300 for a standard room and a breakfast worthy of a disaster camp disgusted me. This is the biggest scam I have ever been a victim of. In any country, for this price, you will have 10 times better »
