« Très bien pour une étape dans la région. Accueil sympathique, hôtel bien entretenu. Grande chambre familiale avec un lit double et un canapé lit confortable. Un coin cuisine et une belle terrasse. Salle de bain assez grande avec de bons produits de toilette. Très bon petit déjeuner varié, la 2ème salle de restaurant moins bruyante et plus grande a été apprécié. Nous avons diner au restaurant de l'hôtel, les plats sont bons et les prix corrects. Grand parking devant l'hôtel. »

We waited for over an hour and half for dinner and there was no advice on things to do on activities. »

« The first room we were given was joined to a faulty and extremely noisy water pump, which kept us awake every hour during the first night. We had a wedding to go to the next day and obviously wanted to look our best, not tired pale and wizzened. Thankfully, we were moved to another room far enough away, to not hear the pump. « It was only a one night visit (we were going to Longborough opera) and we did not eat or even breakfast there. So I can comment only on the room, which was fine with everything that you you would want, and the host who was very welcoming and solicitous. The Victoria cafe, close by, is excellent for breakfast. »

« Overall the stay was very enjoyable. Parking was adequate and the room was very clean. Corridor on my floor could have done with a hoovering. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would happily return. »

« Very old and dated room. The mattresses need to be updated as I slept with springs in my back all night. The windows opened fully on the first floor. This would be a hazard if you were travelling with small children. The bathroom lacked anywhere to hang your towels and really could have done with a clean. Good location and the bar downstairs was lovely with pool tables and darts. »

« Très bien pour une étape dans la région. Nous avions une grande chambre familiale avec un lit double et 2 lits simples sous les toits. Chambre propre, salle de bain correct. Thé/café et petits gâteaux offerts. Nous avons dîné au restaurant de l'hôtel, les plats sont typiques et bons. Petit déjeuner complet à la carte et en self service. Personnel très aimable. Petit parking, il n'y avait plus de places quand nous sommes arrivés et c'est difficile de se garer dans la ville. »

« We were in room 8 which is a large room with 2 very comfortable chairs and a settee. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The room is north facing with a large window which you can open which meant that it was very cool during the recent hot weather; there was also a tower fan as the building has no air conditioning. It is at the back of the building so there is no noise from the road. Breakfast was good and the staff are very polite and helpful. Highly recommended. »

« The menu was limited, expensive and some dishes were poor. The room “Brewery” was small, limited storage, no fridge, tired decor and UNBEARABLY HOT. However must commend the staff for working through the heatwave. Particular thanks goes to Courtney who was extremely helpful and friendly. In summary hotel should investigate the installation of air conditioning or the use of portable air conditioning units for the summer months.
