'De eigenaresse was inderdaad wat apart. Had een luide stem en kwam vreemd over. Was wel erg behulpzaam en deed onze was zonder daar iets voor te willen hebben! Later vertelde ze wat haar overkomen was. Een jaar of 5 geleden is haar echtgenoot overvallen, beroofd en neergestoken. Is daaraan overleden. Het hotel lijkt wel een fort. Maar is begrijpelijk na deze ervaringen. Neem de vrouw zoals ze is en geef haar complimentjes! De kamer was enorm, net een appartement, de douche was de eerste avond...

'This beautifully designed lodge, on 4000 acres, is a unique experience. 107 free range horses, parrots, monkeys add to the ambience. Large , comfortable a/c rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant ,and lovely pool, make for a memorable stay. Convenient to many sites. Owner’s wife is an excellent artist and has a gallery there. We loved it!'

'We liked the kitchenette, spacious room and laundry service. It is a pleasant and short walk across Hawkesworth Bridge into downtown San Ignacio. The hostess was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our stay in San Ignacio.'

'This place was such a great find. We stayed in one of the suites and had a room overlooking the lagoon. We saw starfish and a Spotted Eagle Ray right off the dock in front of our room. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Drinks are reasonably priced at the bar and the pool is sparkling clean! We took the bus in (5.5 hours from Belize City or 2.5 from Belmopan on the express bus). Town is about a 5 to 10 minute walk and taxi to town is only US$2.50. Taking the boat across was super easy...
