'I reserved a Jr suite and was old looking and bathroom walls had stains and mold. The wall electrical plugs and a/c were not working. I upgraded my room and had to check out the next day to check in again to the new room. I had to wait until 3:00pm to be able to go back to my room. 'We did not have AC on the first day. Had maintenance in our room at 3am to try to fix the problem but it wasn’t fixed. So they gave us another room. The second room did not have hot water for the first day and half of the second day. There was also brown water coming out of the tub facet. Expedia has been exceptionally great with working through a resolution for these issues but this does not excuse the poor experience we endured and the disruption these utility issues caused during our trip....

'The staff was excellent; specially Jesus at the beach. The room was nice and spacious and clean. The only reason I booked staying at this resort was the fact that you could swim at the beach. Needless to say, on Saturday July 13th, we went down to the beach around 8:00 a.m. and it was nice and peaceful. Then around 11:00 a.m. it became a chaotic seen. People from a Carnival Cruise liner that had docked near the hotel came and took over the entire beach. There were at least 200 people who rented...

'Clean rooms. Good staff. My favorite part of the property was the warm pools. The beach was very nice but the waves are very strong. Cant swim very much more than the shore. I would recommend not getting a shuttle and renting a car instead. Not online though, wait till you land and find the National/Enterprise people at the counters past the checked bags. $28/day compared to a $50-100 shuttle per person one way. Save yourself a lot of money with a rental.'
