The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are clean and adequate. The beds were perfect. Service at the reception was not as friendly as one might expect and at one instance unacceptable when we had an issue about the taxi ordered by the hotel to go to the airport. Breakfast was not bad, but all 4 mornings the plates were cold and the eggs and bacon already not very warm in the pans were cold as well. There was a lot of choice.

Groot en dus alles aanwezig, maar niks bijzonders.
Personeel doet haar best je een warm welkom te heten. Toch blijft het een groot hotel en onpersoonlijk. Het zwembad dat ons bij de boeking aantrok bleek bij onderdeel van de wellness. Voor de kinderen lastig hun plezier binnen de aanvaardbaar geluidsniveau te houden. Derhalve geen echte aanrader voor gezinnen met kinderen. Groot hotel dat meer geschikt voor zakenreizigers naar mijn idee.

Very nice hotel near the city center
Great service, very friendly people. There is a wine shop inside the hotel, with great original Romanian wines. Breakfast is excellent.

Fijn hotel
Altijd prettig hotel, grote kamer, goede faciliteiten, fijn bed. Wifi werkte goed. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam bij de receptie. Wel even attent blijven tijdens de betaling maar een kleine fout werd snel hersteld. Zeker voor een zakenbezoek aan Boekarest een fijn hotel.

We stayed intially in the junior suite which was spacious, quite stylish and included a free mini bar. Our initial room had shown as being cleaned on the hotel system but in fact it hadnt but we were moved swiftly and compensated with complimentary drinks by a very efficient and pleasant member of staff. Due to availability we subsequently stayed in an executive room on the top floor. It has a more restricted free mini bar and a large smart tv and was quiet but felt a little more cramped as were spoiled by the suite. the hotel is in a superb central location close to the Old Town but in a quieter area close to cafes and convenience stores and the common areas including the bar are impressive and contemporary

The only thing to be inproved is the restaurant big time. Especially the service, it was awful ........ there were only two waiters, one had a good service and was properly dressed as a waiter. The other one had a tshirt and jeans - he also appears to be the boss, this person had no skills for service, he even threw the dishes with our food, and left ..... the menu was also poor. Do NOT order the club sanwich. That dish has nothing about a club sanwich. It is more like a chicken breast sandwich. This hotel have to improve big time the service of the restaurant.

While we would likely stay here again because of the great location and a few other factors, the poor hospitality when we checked in and the lack of assistance when we needed some information about where to go after I had been injured (not at the hotel) was off-putting. It makes the hotel come off like a no-frills airline, when the price and the location indicate that the level of service should be at least mid-range. As others have mentioned, the lighting in the bathroom is very poor, and the strange arrangement of having the WC around the corner from the rest of the bathroom is not just odd but inconvenient. Adding a washing-up sink to the WC would make all the difference. The housekeeping staff was great, providing extra towels when requested, making up the room early each day, and bringing me a wonderful sack of ice for the aforementioned injury. The room was always tidy and they were pleasant in the hallways. Overall, good, but don't expect a top-notch experience.

Decisamente overpriced - service quality very poor
Location buona, ma l’hotel e’ decisamente overpriced. Abbiamo speso 100€ a notte e la qualità della stanza ne valeva la metà, abbiamo trovato capelli in terra e asciugamani non completamente puliti. La colazione non era nemmeno inclusa e siamo sempre morte di caldo visto che erano 20 gradi fuori la stanza e non dava ne’ la possibilità di aprire la finestra, ne’ l’aria condizionata. Quindi alla notte non si dormiva dal caldo, letti molto duri e quando abbiamo chiamato al reception alle 9 di sera per avere asciugamani puliti, dalla reception non ha nemmeno risposto ne’ richiamato. Foto dell’hotel e delle camere molto belle sul sito ma decisamente ingannevoli, credete a me, e’ solo facciata, il servizio e’ terribile.

Property centrally located, easy walk everywhere. I was refused an early check-in without an extra fee. For the price and number of stars room was very weird. Toilet was separate but no sink to wash your hands. No toiletries except soap and shampoo, expecting more from a 4* hotel. Restaurant had basic bland food. Not one Romanian dish on the menu.

Fantastic stay as normal at the Novotel. Breakfast experience could be improved with possibly a hotplate station where they make fresh eggs/ omelettes and pancakes. Not always a choice for everyone.

The rooms were comfortable, just the bathroom had some old mould in the shower and lime scale in the toilet. Staff were kind and helpful apart of the co-ordinator lady in the breakfast who interrupted my meal in a very rude away saying I have to move as that table was for a group. No sign in the table (it was put on after I left) and my husband and I left the breakfast and the table was still empty. It was on 28/11 and unfortunately I couldn't get her name to report her. She doesn't fit with hotel.

The hotel was lovely and the breakfast was outstanding. The location was perfect to walk to the old town, restaurants and shops. The only thing I did not like was the cost of the rooms - they are very very expensive for Bucharest and felt like I was overcharged for a nice but basic room.

La struttura ha un unico vantaggio, la posizione centrale. Per il resto per la prima volta il Novotel mi ha delusa. In camera c'erano due bagni (definiamoli così) uno molto piccolo in cui c'erano doccia (vecchia e davvero scomoda, poco getto di acqua) e una vasca... Niente wc. Se fossi stata l'architetto avrei lasciato la doccia mettendola a terra, avrei tolto la vasca aumentano lo spazio della mensola del lavandino (che è davvero risicato) e messo un wc. Si perché signore e signori, il wc è in un bagno piccolissimo senza finestra da solo all'ingresso della stanza, quello avrebbe potuto essere un armadio a muro per esempio, se il wc fosse stato messo nel bagno. Non parliamo poi della porta del bagno, priva di una maniglia decente, bastava una porta a scorrimento piuttosto che quell'indecenza, ed infine neanche una presa per una piastra nel bagno e neanche uno specchio nella camera... Insomma, quest'albergo è una pena. Non ho mai scritto una recensione di questo genere ma quando ci vuole ci vuole. Non lo consiglio neanche al mio peggior nemico!
