'It's owned by Diesel and Crème, a retro-Biker and other stop on Route 62, ostensibly modelled after America's Route 66. Only three bedrooms, one en-suite, a sitting room and a place to do your tea / coffee / microwave. Very old, deliberately, the furnishings and fittings. After dark, Barrydale's R62, closes down quite quickly.... the next place going east, 150 km, is Ladismith. You eat at a restaurant in 'town'.... they are good too. In contrast, the bedrooms are excellent, clean and actually...

'If they put half as much into the rooms as they do the garden it would be wonderful. The room is dark, the bed is cardboard and the carpet is historic circa 1970. It needs some freshening. '

'Lovely country pub atmosphere with great staff. Birder friendly. Kitchen Staff kindly made up take out breakfast for our team’s birding departure at 06:00. Authentic food. Good safari vibe. Highly recommended. My rating, a 9. '

'nice small guest house with large clean rooms the staff was friendly but hard to catch they made breakfast when they wanted and not we wanted and there was not enough parking space'

'No TV in the room, when you staying over for the night and don't want to sit in the pub for the entire evening, TV would have been nice.'
