This is a modern hostel with some simple but good suites, WiFi works great, bars and restaurants and other facilities are excellent. Very nice location in a former Jesuit College, very near to airport speedboat

Het ligt wel in de niet toeristische kant dus niet aan te raden voor de 1ste keer Venetiƫ! The bathroom was not Really nice. We were in the room for disabled and we found it could have been adjusted if you dont need all the amenities, like a chair in the shower which was in a way. Bathroom in general was a bit unpleasant. Room was spacious and quite nice but bed was a bit uncomfortable. Building itself was amazing. For the price it was ok.

Gute Lage, wenige Minuten FuƟweg zur Haltestelle ā€žFondamento Noveā€œ. Schƶne AtmosphƤre, zauberhafter Innenhof. Im Haus ist auch ein Studentenwohnheim und es gibt eine Bibliothek und AufenthaltsrƤume fĆ¼r Studierende. Das Miteinander von jungen Studierenden und HotelgƤsten hat uns gut gefallen. FrĆ¼hstĆ¼cksbuffet ist nicht besonders variantenreich bestĆ¼ckt, aber der Service ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben fast jeden Tag in der hoteleigenden Bar/Lounge gefrĆ¼hstĆ¼ckt, dort war es ruhig und angenehm. Unser Zimmer ging zu einem Kanal, nachts und am frĆ¼hen Morgen war es hƤufig laut durch Motorboote und HandwerkerlƤrm. DafĆ¼r war aber der Innenhof mit OrangenbƤumen eine Oase der Ruhe.

I definitely recommend Combo Venezia. The history of the building, the layout of the hotel, and the way it serves many purposes (restaurant, bar, study, event space, etc.), all made it a very unique and special place to be. It felt like a resort that went back into history but with modern twist. For all it offers, itā€™s still quiet and safe. Friendly and helpful staff too. Would definitely return.

Overall the property was very nice in a beautiful building with lots of history. It was easy to access the vaporettos and walk around to other areas of Venice. We had some issues with the very warm temperature in the room for which we requested assistance with, however, it remained quite high making it difficult to sleep. Our room was also facing the street in front which tended to be noisy in the mornings and evenings as children would use the area to play or things would be moved through the area. It was a fairly pleasant stay aside from the temperature issue and we would likely stay here again.

Good bare-bones accommodation
Two of us stayed here for Carnevale. The location is great if you want someplace away from the noise. This suited us well as we were there to take pictures, not to party. It is about a 20 minute walk to St Mark's Square. The "apartment" is fine. Very bare bones and the kitchen could use a few more items to make the stay comfortable. There were only two sauce pots; no skillet, cooking utensils or coffee maker. This should be improved. Also, only one of the burners on the cooktop/hob worked. All in all, I would happily stay there again, but would hope they make a few improvements. We did go to both the wine bar and restaurant. The wine bar is fine but avoid the restaurant where the service is poor.

Ein inspirierender Ort in einer schƶnen Umgebung. Ein lebhaftes Haus, jedoch im Hotelteil und in den Zimmern angenehm ruhig. Sehr gut gelegen. Empfang und Zimmerservice ausgezeichnet. If youā€™d like to stay in a historical (middle-ages) property with all the modern updates and coolness, this is the place for you! We wanted to stay away from the big crowds on the western and southern parts of Venice and this hotel was amazing. Easily walkable to the ā€œsightsā€ but quiet & the best location for transport to the airport via the water bus. Our room had a small kitchen and couldā€™ve easily slept another person up on the loft if we were a party of three. Our room looked out onto a quiet canal. Staff were lovely and helpful. Thereā€™s a snack bar, coffee cafĆ©, and restaurant on site. The church next door is stunning!

This is the most magical place to stay. You feel like you are part of the Venetian Scholars. It gathers a great mix of young and old and has so many wonderful nooks to sit and just soak up what a Monastery may have felt like -but with a wonderful coffe bar added in!!We had the loft 2 room with huge venetian windows overlooking canal -superb!!!!and it had a kitchenette.

It is a great model for shared accommodation hotel. Building on an old monastery the cloister was put to good use. The room is generous with shared kitchen and lounge and large bathroom. I really love it and wish to return in future.

Combo is a fantastic base. Very close to the airport, 1 water bus 30 mins to get there. Walking distance to everything you need in Venice, and local restaurants around. We were hesitant to stay in a hostel as a couple, but the private room, cosy and safe atmosphere made it feel like a great choice. The room was big, clean, and the facilities excellent. The bar on site was cheap and amazing. People not staying at the hostel would visit the bar alone. I genuinely recommend this to people who are visiting Venice.

Awesome historical yet modern hotel.
Great unique hotel with interesting history away from the crowd. We enjoyed our stay very much at the Combo. There was a very nice restaurant and coffee shop in the complex. It was very close to the water bus to the airport, and we made it to Marco Polo in good time, just 30-40 minutes. Just be aware that there is no hairdryer and there are no toiletries other than a single basic shower soap for body and hair. Also, note that if you want AC, then donā€™t open the window because there is a sensor in the window frame that shuts off the AC.

The front staff went above and beyond in my opinion! She was excellent!!! Iā€™m sorry I donā€™t remember her name but she changed our room for us to accommodate our needs. It was difficult for either of us to climb the stairs to one of the rooms. So she found us another room and moved our luggage over for us while we were out. Now that is service. So wonderful! I would definitely stay here again. Loved the history of the monastery. Also, loved the locationā€¦easy access to the water bus. Beautiful place!

great stay, i would stay again!
The hotel is amazing, friendly staff members and easy going. It blew our mind when we arrived. My friend and I were sharing a room with 2 single beds, the first night the only had very thin pillows and slept very badly. The following day we received extra pillows and made it bit easier, the bed mattresses could be more comfortable though. The buffet breakfast was bit 'poor' for 12 euro we paid for (most of the times it was empty but it was constantly getting refilled), coffee from machine made. The following days we opted for the breakfast from the internal bar instead much better. On our last day we wanted to get some drinks around lunch time and both the bars were superbusy - 2 people serving the same customers at the time - waited about 20 minutes then given up. Apart from these couple of episodes, i would definetely come back! it is very close to pier for the airport and walking distance from all the attractions but not in the middle of it (which makes it very quiet and enjoyable!)

We had a fabulous stay here. Right next to the water taxi which was great for grabbing a boat out to Murano. The reception staff were helpful and gave us directions when needed, they also loaned us an iron. The building is stunning and it felt like a great place to sit and do any work needed. Breakfast had great options. There is plenty to do on site and we had a lovely breakfast out on the terrace one morning. The room itself was somewhat basic, which was to be expected, but it felt a little too minimalist. The sensor in the bathroom turns off constantly, we couldn't always find the buttons for things and we had no way to contact reception with any questions other than walking down to ask. That said, the bed was super comfy, we had a gorgeous view, and if you are staying for more than one night you get used to all its quirks. The area was nice to come back to after being amongst the chaos all day, as you walk back you start to feel calmer. We would totally recommend going to Bar Puppa which is very close and has some great deals (main course, drink and coffee for ā‚¬15). Be prepared to wait for a table, but it is worth it. Overall, absolutely brilliant.
