'It was an easy drive in our rental car to Fontane Blanche from Taormina. Enzo was waiting for us and handed over the keys and a fob for the gate at the entrance. He gave us all the instructions we needed for our 11 day stay in March 2024. He made us feel very welcome and supplied a small stock of food, water and a bottle of wine so we didn’t have to find a grocery store until the next day. The house is clean and comfortable with all amenities needed, including a small terrasse. 'We didn't expect it to be this beautiful. Also the house was clean and bigger than we expected. The house was renovated not so long ago so everything is still new and fresh. We stayed in Ortigia with two families including one small child. The small town of Ortigia is nice to stay at, lots of nice & trendy restaurants. The host was very good. We got the impression that the owner may have been burned by previous renters as he was very insistent on points that most VRBO hosts would just leave in a note on the table in the room. 'De tuin met daarin een grandioos zwembad, was een klein paradijsje voor ons. Twee overdekte zithoeken, een tafeltennistafel, een BBQ en een heerlijk ruim privé-zwembad. 's Avonds gaan automatisch alle lampen aan en wordt ook het zwembad in verschillende kleuren verlicht. Huis licht tussen Italiaanse gezinnen, kan af en toe geluid geven. Een auto is noodzakelijk, huis ligt ca. 5 km van centrum. Wij hebben een heerlijke ontspannen periode gehad.'
