Villa's in Stellenbosch

'Our extended family stayed here for a week before a wedding. The house is beautiful. Plenty of space for family to relax and spend time together. The view is spectacular and the access to little coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. Having a second sitting area allowed some members to watch the cricket while others could chat. 'I took my time before writing this review. I wanted to be fair. So, I will start with the positive. The room was very large. The kitchen was great, and the view from the balcony was spectacular. Now, the negative. The hotel was actually closed when we showed up. The staff and manager had no idea we were coming even though we booked way ahead. We had to argue for them to let us stay and wait for them to clean a room. The restaurant was closed on the first night for a private event, and even...

'Wij hebben vier fantastische dagen gehad in deze geweldige villa met prachtig uitzicht over False Bay richting Kaapstad. Het huis biedt veel leefruimte, is van alle gemakken voorzien en bevindt zich in een veilige buurt. De communicatie vooraf met Daphne en haar hulp ter plekke waren ook voortreffelijk. Een heerlijke plek om nog eens naar terug te keren.'

'Die Wohnung mit grossem Sitzplatz und Garten liegt im sicheren Greenway Golf Estate und hat freie Sicht auf das Meer. Sie ist sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und hat bequeme Betten. Die Gegend ist ruhig und sicher. Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge (Weingüter usw.). Die Gastgeberin, Caecia, war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten sie jederzeit um Rat fragen. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen.'

'We spend 5 nights in this wonderfull house. We loved the swimming pool and the view at the mountain. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood and street, not far from the center of Stellenbosch. The Spar supermarket is very close. We enjoyed our stay here! '

'VRBO listed booking when the property was not available. Only found out 12 hrs before arrival. Had to scramble to find another place. They did not offer any help whatsover. Stay away from VRBO. Second time this has happend to me.'

'We had a great time at Sandmartins over the 2022 Christmas holiday. The house is very well equipped, clean and secure. Sandra is a great communicator and kept us nicely informed through the entire process. She even decorated the house for Christmas for us! As is common in South Africa, load shedding does impact this property, but we appreciated the small backup battery that kept the internet and Tv going. Also there is a large and heavy cover over on the pool table. Our lesson was not to place...

'The property was spacious and comfortable to accommodate 11 adults and 2 kids. Lawrence was a great host who was available to assist at our whim. Definitely recommend to large groups and we’ll be back again.'

'Our extended family of 8 adults loved the location. You can walk to most places in Green Point and short Uber rides to Camps Bay, Sea Point, Table Mountain and other Cape Town attractions. The host is very responsive and offered us information about local events during our stay. Other than a small mis-communication about check in time, we loved everything about our stay.'

'We absolutely loved LOVED staying at this villa. It is an extremely spacious place with loads of running space for the kids. Athol is also very generous with his grandkids’ toys which were heaven sent for all the kids in our group. Athol himself was a BRILLIANT host and we can’t thank him enough for his hospitality. He was always available for any questions we might have had (and we had quite a few!). Also, a special note for his help with our son needed a doctor.'

'Great location and facilities with wonderful outdoor area, all very well maintained. Warm welcome from the owner. Worth mentioning no curtailment to electricity usage during load shedding as there is an excellent 24 hour back up system in place. Will definitely book again.'

'Prima guesthouse, kamer tip top, ligging perfect. Dicht bij knus centrum met veel horecagelegenheden. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. Zwembad wel klein maar gelet op omgeving wss ook te weinig tijd voor.'

'Cottage was spacious with comfortable beds, fluffy towels and good amenities, fixtures and fittings. We arrived just on dark and there were no dining options, power was limited to a few lights, due to daily "load shedding", so unable to microwave or even get a cup of tea until full power returned an hour or more later. Next morning unable to find a suitable power outlet for hairdryers supplied - on checking out was advised compatible points beside/under beds??? Staff were personable and helpful...
