Everybody working in the hotel is very nice firendly and hulpful Food variation each day at lunch and dunner . Around the pool people put towels on the beds for alll their stay. Hôtel shouldnt give the opportunity ti do it . You can also ask to put beds on the beach which we preferred. Animation each evening is ok. We enjoyed our stay at sunset beach .hotel.

More like a noisy party hostel. The bar, swimming pool and restaurant are in the same spot and the pool bar is pumping annoyingly loud beats and bass vibrations all day that can be heard everywhere, starting from breakfast. With sound boxes hanging all around outside the building. No rest at the pool, not one peacefull lunch or dinner. It got a little bit better, in the morning time only, after I complained 3 times, but not nearly enjoyable. There's a live band or show every evening in front of the open door restaurant, so no peacefull dinner ever. The terrain is far too small to accomodate these events every day. It can be heard in every room. I had to sit at the beach at the back exit to be able to enjoy some peace and quiet.

klopt goede hotel dat vlak bij strand ligt.
Voor de liefhebbers van birdwatching, ligt dit hotel vlak bij de birdwatching post van waaruit verschillende uitstappen kunnen gemaakt worden.

Prima bediening, goede schoonmaak, mederwerkers zijn vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Alleen bij het inchecken wist de medewerker niet wat te doen met de Expedia gegevens dat de kamer was geboekt, moest herhaaldelijk uitleggen dat de rekening was betaald en dat de kamer was gereserveerd op mijn naam.

Kwaliteit peijsverhouding is super!
Prima te doen, beleefde mensen, fijne kamer, heerlijk direct aan het strand. Ben enkel een nacht gebleven, maar raad zeker aan.

Adequaat hotel tegen schappelijke prijs
Schoon en goed geoutilleerd hotel dat een prima ontbijt serveert. De voorzieningen zijn goed maar het hotel is wel enigszins onpersoonlijk. Het strand voor het hotel is minder maar er zijn goede strandvoorzieningen bij het hotel verderop in zuidelijke richting (kreek oversteken). De kamers zijn schoon, de slaapruimte van onze kamer was evenwel aan de krappe kant. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is in orde.

Gezellig hotel met prachtig strand
We zaten in een huisje met tuin aan het strand. Strand en zwembad werden heel netjes gehouden. Wakey wakey animatieman James maakte het nog gezelliger. Om je reis helemaal compleet te maken kan je tours maken met Pa, een jonge Gambiaan die op het strand voor Sunset een sapjesstal heeft.

Die Lage des Hotels ist traumhaft schön am Strand, der Pool ist sehr sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist einfach und Spiegeleier, Rühreier etc. werden indivduell frisch zubereitet. Der Zustand des Bades hat uns etwas enttäuscht, die Klobrille war locker, am Waschbecken gab es nur heißes Wasser und die Dusche war viel zu hoch angebracht und konnte nicht verdreht werden. Hier ist definitv Modernisierung nötig. Der gute Service mit Blütenschmuck auf den frisch gemachten Betten war sehr toll. Die tägliche Reinigung war auch immer sehr gut. Die Anlage selber hat einen wunderschönen gepflegten Garten, die einzelnen Appartments und kleinen Eingangsterrassen weisen aufgrund der Seeluft schon Mängel auf und sollten zeitnah an einigen Stellen renoviert werden um den Zustand zu erhalten. In der Umgebung des Hotels stehen leider sehr viele andere Hotels leer und daher ist die Umgebung auch nicht allzu attraktiv zum spazieren gehen und es gibt wenige Restaurants. Man muss immer mit einem Taxi fahren. Der Taxistand ist direkt vor der Tür. Die birdwatching Tour am Eingang des Hotels ist lohnenswert.

Check-in was fast and smooth. When we entered the room, we noticed our teenager did not have a bed. Housekeeping brought a foldout bed. The room had an infestation of some of the biggest ants we've seen. When I alerted housekeeping, they informed me it was rainy season, hence excessive bugs. We met the operations manager in the dining area and told her about my room. She sent housekeeping with a bug spay, and they were ordered to leave it in the room with us. We were given one towel for three people. When I requested more towels, housekeeping gave us towels that had brown stains on them. When we said something, she said, "It's just a little stain." I kindly asked that she find two that weren't stained. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. In fact, the restaurant staff was awesome. However, the property has a pregnant cat that walks around and sits close while you're eating. This wouldn't be a problem if one of my family members didn't have a cat allergy. Lastly, if you are traveling with small children, be aware that the pool does not have a lifeguard. My husband had to perform CPR on a small child who got into difficulties in the pool. Thankfully, we got word that the child was going to be okay. When we checked out, the receptionist manager thanked my husband for saving the child's life. I think it would be helpful if all staff that works around the pool are effectively trained to perform CPR. Overall, our stay was just okay.

During the rainy season, these insects are attracted to lights, and despite our best efforts, they can sometimes find their way into the rooms when doors are opened at night. Nice location, they listed there are wifi in all the rooms, but it turned out there was no wifi in the rooms , only outside the hotel rooms you will have access to their wifi, and i specifically booked that hotel because of the access to wifi. So they should correct that wrong information on your expedia website.

I traveled with my kid and loved their kiddie pool. I love the bungalow rooms , was clean , comfy bed , just the bathroom is too small and the shower position is bad. The server forgot to serve one of my orders at the restaurant. Breakfast was a bit boring and someone who prepared the watermelon slices probably didn’t wash his hands as it tasted perfume .

I Have made a reservation for 2 nights, but when I arrived, hotel management informed me that the 2nd night was not booked, and hotel was full. What a beautiful stay my partner and I had there. The setting is like a Tropical Oasis, the rooms are clean, the food delicious and the staff helpful and friendly. Not to mention transport is easy to get and there are some great bars and restaurants within reasonable distance. Thanks Sunset for making our stay enjoyable.

The hotel is situated in a wonderful setting by the beach, with pleasant breeze from the sea and beautiful views. The swimming pool is nice allowing us to enjoy the scenery - and the sunset.

I was a single traveller and paid for a standard room, this turned out too a small bungalow in beautiful gardens. It's a small complex hotel very friendly clean and nothing is too much trouble. I would definately recommend this hotel and will be going back .

We stayed for a week and enjoyed it. Good location beside the beach with plenty of local bars nearby! Staff are very friendly and helpful! The rooms are a good size but not in the best condition but its The Gambia and this should be expected! Overall a good place to stay

THE GAMBIAN EXPERIENCE.
We booked an apartment but were given the wrong room(a deluxe standard, more like a dungeon!) we reported to reception immediately but were assured the room was correct. We accepted the room for the first night as it was getting late and arranged to see the manager the following morning. The manager was not available, but eventually we were given the correct room. For the duration of the holiday(21 days) no manager or apology!!!

Je connaissais le SUNSET depuis longtemps mais c'est toujours très bien. Personnel accueillant, bon rapport qualité/prix. Pour ceux qui souhaitent passer un bon séjour à Banjul c'est l'endroit idéal.

Dejligt hotel ved havet og i skønne omgivelser
Vi havde en dejlig oplevelse på hotellet - på trods af low session. Meget venligt personale, omsorgsfulde, serviceminded og meget venlige og interesseret i at vi havde alt hvad vi havde brug for. Åben, smilende og imødekommende. Vil helt klar vælge hotellet igen.

Nice hotel for good price!
Nice stay at Sunset beach hotel 2 weeks before the season starts, so not too crowded. Nice pool, nice beach. Breakfast every day the same, but still a great options to choose from.

Hotel needs maintenance
All the staff were great! The hotel needs maintenance - shower door handle was dangling and only half screwed on; shower head was clogged and bracket was very loose and tricky to get the head to stay in place; drain was very slow and water flooded the floor; telephone rang and you could hear person calling but they could not hear you and even though I reported it to the front desk it was never fixed; sofa and chairs in the room were worn and stained; the MEMORY FOAM BED that was touted in the advertisement was non existent and instead I got a ROCK-HARD SPRING MATTRESS; room cleaning was minimal until I complained and then was only good for one day; the safe in the room that they advertise costs an additional fee for the staff to program for use (they just let you put in your own code to open). The breakfast buffet is very nice and the food is good. The bar and grill has very good food and prices are very reasonable. The beach is very close, security is good, the pool is shallow but very clean, and the grounds of the hotel are pretty and well maintained. Again, the staff are very nice and helpful and give grade A service on the whole. However, due to the condition of the room and the horrible bed, I do not think I would consider staying here again.

It is very deceiving on the web site about the air conditioning, it leads you to believe that the room comes with air, but when you check in they tell you that you have to pay extra for it.
