'Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Mijn kamer was schoon, matrassen iets hard maar ik heb prima geslapen (7 nachten) en mijn kamer lag rustig gelegen, dus geen geluidsoverlast gehad. Het ontbijt is basis maar goed. Pollock Estate ligt op ongeveer 20 a 30 minuten lopen van de Royal Mile. 'I stayed for 1 night in room no 2 which is located on the ground floor of the main building. This room is disabled friendly with a large ensuite bathroom. Self checkin process was straight forward. Room itself was spacious and clean. The chairs were a bit worn out but understandable for the price. Some noise transmitted from upstairs as people walked on the floorboards but did not bother me. 'This was my first time staying in a hostel. It was very well set up. Easy to check in. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. Our room was a bit noisy due to being beside the bathroom but they have rules to keep things quiet during night time hours. We just needed an area to sleep so we did not make use of the other parts of the facility but it looked very well maintained and the shared kitchen area looked very well organized.
