Een mooie ruime en schone kamer met alles wat je nodig hebt. De locatie was top! Het strand, Ocean Drive en Lincoln Road mall zijn allemaal op loopafstand. Als je een huurauto hebt en er graag op uit trekt, dan zit je ook dichtbij alle verbindingswegen. Jammer was dat er geen ledikant beschikbaar was voor onze 2 kleintjes van 1 en 2 jaar. Slapen met een kindje dat graag in zijn slaap rolt, is geen veilig gevoel om mee naar bed te gaan. We waren er een hele week en in al die tijd was het blijkbaar niet mogelijk om op zijn minst één bedje te regelen voor ons. Voor de rest vriendelijk personeel die het maar proberen te redden met hebben. Er zijn weinig diensten beschikbaar zoals housekeeping (moet je zelf dagelijks om vragen), piccolo en Valet Parking (als je je huurauto wilt, moet je rekening houden met een half uur voordat je auto voor de deur staat). Dus over het algemeen hadden we een prima verblijf, maar er waren wat puntjes die het helaas niet geweldig hebben gemaakt.

This hotel is falsely advertised as 4 stars but I have stayed in hostels better than this. Our group was extremely disappointed with the the cleanliness of the rooms and the unfriendly front desk receptionist. When we first walked in, the floors were covered in sand and dirt to the point where the bottom of our white socks and feet turned black. There was only 1 tiny trash can in the bathroom so we had to use our own cardboard box to hold trash. The white towels had black stains all over it like it was stepped on. There were only two towels in the room when our reservations had 3 guests booked. The shampoo and conditioner were not filled up before we arrived. We asked the front desk if they could bring up the toiletries asap. They said yes but never showed up. It gets worse - we found a TICK in one of our rooms. Our guests understandably decided to leave the hotel and book somewhere else the 2nd night and we alerted the front desk. The woman at the front desk responded in Spanish to her coworker “just change the sheets, these *b words* wouldn’t notice.” Funny enough, one of us speaks Spanish and caught her saying this. Our friend proceeded to repeat the issue in Spanish, and the receptionist replied that she would tell her manager to resolve it immediately. We never got an update the following days. There’s no manager to be found and they don’t pick up the phone. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel, when there’s so many better in the area.

Nothing to write home about, my experience here was average. This is a decent hotel for a brief stay. We had a good few nights but encountered some of the noise issues that others did on our last night, as noise travels through all of the walls. I dislike that they place the onus on the guest to “prebook” room cleanings, as a vacationer I like to think less, and not have to do more in terms of coordination. The pool was smaller than pictured.

Hotel was good for the price. Good location. Quiet and safe. Close to bus and trolley stops. Very walkable. The resort fees paid at the property could adds up a bit. I know it is listed but with tax and fees it was a tiny bit higher than expected. Love the options to pay a reasonable late check out fee so I could enjoy the beach one more morning. Didn’t get to check out the pool. Friendly helpful staff. Will stay again if the rate is still comparable to other options in the area. Def no regrets.

I stayed at the Meridian for 3 nights. The pros: Beautiful property. On site cafe and bar connected. Upper deck pool area and patio. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and beach. Cons: Rooms do not have microwave (has refrigerator only), no ice machines found on property or coffee in the room for the coffee maker. The staff was ok, seemed pleasant enough and answered your questions.

This was a cute property. My only issue was the STRONG odor of fresh paint. The fumes were SUPER STRONG, I got an headache due to the fumes. It was like they painted right before us entering the room.

First of all, Luis did a great job accommodating us on our arrival. Very friendly and inviting at the front desk. 1. Gotten woke up every morning to doors slamming and people talking in hallways very early. The gap underneath our door allowed all this noise. 2. Towels were all stained up. When we asked for replacements, those were the same way. 3. Fridge did not stay very cold 4. The blow dryer did not work, nor the plug in the bathroom. 5. The pool is very misleading in the photos. It’s so small. I’ve never seen a pool that small. There was barely room for 2 kids to swim same time. Not to mention it’s only 3 ft deep. The resort fees do not offset this perk whatsoever and if I’d known, I’d most likely have picked a different hotel to stay at. 6. Free bike rental stops too early in the day but we were not told this during our check in. We had to find out when we tried to use them and were unable to do so.

The staff was great, I really also enjoyed the valet parking option. It was minutes walking distance to the beach which was very nice! The property was kept clean for the most part although there was a red and in our bedsheet on night one and then something bit my husband that night but overall it fulfilled its purpose.

The Meridian is a really nice hotel in a nice area only 10-15 minute walk to a quieter part of South Beach, there are many good cafes & restaurants in close walking distance. You can rent bikes from the hotel by downloading an app & you get the first 2hrs free so great for cycling on the a south beach boardwalk. The reason I have only given a 3 star rating, is there is a small bar attached to the hotel which is open until 4am & has outside seating, we had a ground floor room & could hear constant noise from 11pm when we went to bed until the early hours, our first night there was a group arguing & we did speak to the receptionist to see if we could change rooms & they said they would see what they could do but didn’t come back to us, we also had an issue with our VIP drinks voucher which was sorted in the end but was a bit of a hassle. The reception staff were not consistent, some were helpful but others not so much. We had a nice room with a lovely terrace but it looked over a car park but it wasn’t noisy that side. Overall a nice hotel but be aware of the bar attached.

Location is great. Everything related to hotel is not great. This is not a 4 star hotel. We got the key and noticed the room was not clean, they did not even bother change the sheets! The night table was so dirty , I cleaned it with wet paper and it became almost black. Toilet was not flashing properly. Requested a quiet location and got a room above the bar with noise until 2am. No sleep. After complaining about bed sheets they cleaned the room. In the morning asked for some compensation about all this inconvenience they offered a free breakfast. The lady at the cafeteria was nice until she noticed we are covered by the hotel for the cost. Suddenly she became very arrogant and abrupt. And the food in the cafeteria was not fresh. Staled focaccia couple of days old. Not going to this hotel chain again especially for this ridiculous price!

In all honesty I didn’t feel the Meridian Hotel met our standards. It was nice enough but felt a bit misled by the photos when we visited. We had to request a fridge in our room and the elevator was broken whilst we were there so had to manually move our suitcases about. Staff were friendly though and they helped us with our luggage. You can only get water downstairs at the bar. The overall experience didn’t feel like a four star experience but the location was good.

Although the overall aesthetic and location of the hotel was wonderful. I found the staff to not be very helpful and the rooms to be quite run down. The towels that were in our rooms were all dirty with makeup stains from previous users. When we asked for new ones we were told they didn’t have any and we had to wait for laundry to be done. We had to ask 3 more times and wait till the next day to get some. The shower leaked into the bathroom floor and didn’t have a handle on the inside to close the door. Overall an okay hotel but not what to expected from description and photos.
