Whether you’re needing a weeklong stay for your intensive class at Liberty University, a weekend away from the noise or to rekindle the romance or a 48 hour retreat complete with on-site life coaching, the Sanctuary can accommodate your needs.
A 500 sq. foot Sanctuary suite with private entrance gives you room to spread out, breathe and take in the beauty of the countryside yet is close enough to town for amenities and a short commute to Lynchburg, the urban hub of the region.
Enjoy sunsets over the Peaks of Otter, walks around the 2 acre pond or sitting in the gazebo sipping a cup of coffee or your favorite wine. It features a full eat- in kitchen with butcher block counter top, stove, antique farmhouse sink, Keurig coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Central air provides for your comfort in winter or summer. A beautifully tiled shower, bedroom with queen bed and closet and living room with sofa and comfy chair give you all you need to get away for a bit. A gazebo with stunning views give you outdoor dining options as well a chance to breathe in nature and exhale out stress.

Whether you choose to just take a stroll around the pond or the gravel drive or drive a short 10 minutes to hike the bountiful trails at the Peaks of Otter, The Sanctuary is a walking and hiking enthusiasts dream.

A five minute drive to the town of Bedford provides dining options, shopping for the antique lover and the D-Day Memorial for history buffs and veterans.

Need to get away from the “noise” of your everyday life? Sanctuary provides the space and serenity to think, dream, pray and……listen. Sleep in late, take a stroll around the property, sip wine by the fire pit and listen to the tree frogs. Even if want to stay in your pajama’s your entire stay, we’ve got books, board games and solitude for you.

Optional: Each day, the hosts can provide you with an inspiring note and question that sets the table for you to maximize your thinking and expand your mind to possibilities. ($10 extra a day for notes and questions)

Your host at the Sanctuary is a certified Leadership & Life Purpose Coach and is ready to meet you. Providing a safe, non-judgmental environment you can engage with Christine to help you think through and process a variety of issues including your calling, life goals, leadership, connecting or re-connecting with God or work issues while taking a brisk walk around the farm or just sitting in the gazebo looking at the ripples on the pond or the majesty of the mountains. This experience includes two nights lodging, two coaching sessions and contemplative questions so you leave with clarity or a plan to thrive in life. ($200 extra for a two night stay, although many guests choose to have their second coaching session after they return home and have time to do some "homework" based on things discussed.)
