We arrived at the hotel early (8 a.m.) so we couldn't check in yet. For an extra 30 pounds we could check in ealier and around 11 a.m. they had a room ready. Entering the room it was 12 degrees Celsius with the air-condition on full blast blowing cold air. We put the air-condition on 18,5 Celsius in the hope that when we came back from going into town itll be warmer. We arrived back at the hotel around 11 p.m. The room was freezing cold and the air-condition would not fully go out. We slept in our clothes just to keep warm. The next day we went to complain about the cold and the girl behind the desk said: "we know about it, it is always a problem at this hotel". We asked for another room (was not offered) and at first they refused to accommodate. After complaining about it, they gave us another room. The new room seemed better, at least warmer with the air-condition blowing at 18,5 degrees. This one could be turn softer/off and kept blowing loads of unwanted air into the room. At least it was warmer than the first room. Showering in the morning was adventurous. The shower head was loaking more water to all sides instead of down. Looking in the airfilter (right next to the showerhead), there was a moaldy looking substance in it. It has clearly not been cleaned in a long time. The rooms have no hairdryers so you have to collect them at the front desk.
The breakfastroom was as dirty as the room. It had 3 TVs blaring a BBC breakfast station which echos throughout the room.
