Great Atmosphere when you enter the hotel. Had a wonderful stay with my son. Room was small but fine as we only slept there. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Underground stations Queensway and Bayswater around the corner. Same for the bigbus tours. Next to Hyde Park. I only made the mistake to book for 2 adults and had to pay quite a lot to change this to 1 adult and 1 child.

The hotel is ok. The location is perfect. Close to two underground stations. The room was a bit of a dissapointment. It is much smaller then expected based on the information on the website. Furthermore the service is a bit lacking. The room is cleaned everyday but one day the forgot to provide new towels. The old where gone but no replacement. The next day they forgot to replenish the toilet paper. On the third day we were out of shampoo. Also not replenished. Not the service level one would expect from this hotel. Aside from this the staff is helpful and polite.

Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Uitstekende locatie tegenover Hyde Park en 2 metrostations en diverse buslijnen op zeer korte loopafstand. Kleine kamers, maar dat is gebruikelijk in Londen. Goed ontbijt in prachtige eetzaal.

Het hotel is mij bekend en heeft een prachtige oude inrichting, maar dat maakt nog geen viersterren accommodatie. De oude lounges waren dicht, dat werkt niet sfeer verhogend. Bij binnenkomst kwam mij muziek tegemoet die past op en privé feestje, maar niet in een hotellobby. Achter de receptie was het zichtbaar rommelig en de staat van de vloerbekleding en het schilderwerk (wat zorgt voor de algemene atmosfeer) is matig. Deze punten bij elkaar zorgen ervoor dat de ambiance geen viersterren is. De kamer die ik kreeg toegewezen, brak elk voorstellingsvermogen. Hoewel deze netjes, schoon en verzorgd was, was deze ook levensgevaarlijk. Het raampje was niet groter dan 25 bij 25 cm en kon niet open. Het dakraam was eveneens klein en niet te openen. Bij een brand zijn de gasten van deze zolderkamers kansloos. Deze dienen naar mijn mening dan ook z.s.m. gesloten te worden. Ik heb direct mijn spullen gepakt en ingecheckt in een ander viersterren hotel; wat een verschil in entourage en behandeling! Dit hotel ziet eruit als een viersterren hotel en de potentie heeft het zeker, maar het onderhoud en de atmosfeer zorgen ervoor dat dit hotel op het moment geen vier sterren status moet hebben.

i received an email that i won’t stay at the hotel i booked and that they put me in a other hotel without asking me if i’m okay with this. the new hotel was so small the room was okay it was very clean but very small not even a normal window to open, they gave me “free breakfast” but that included only the basics (coffee thea juice fruit and mini croissants) so long story short never accept a other hotel without checking it , employees where kind .

Good for a night stay but wouldn’t recommend anymore than that. One thing that really annoyed me was what seemed to look like mice or rat droppings under the duvet when we pulled them back, was only 2 little bits but was very annoyed. Pretty standard place to stay

This is a historic building but it is so old that I do wonder if it is time to do some major renovations. I have been to other vintage hotels that have better rooms and amenities. There was a very cramped staircase to my room and the room itself was so small I wouldn’t have considered it suitable for more than 1 person. The furnishings are also very limited. There were no food options other than breakfast. Honestly I think this hotel is needing major updating if it is to keep guests.

The building is a beautiful house. However, the bathrooms are really dangerous. Large slippery tiles on the floor make it easy to slip. A very high tub makes it hard to climb in. Hooks are hung so high a 5'4" person has to stand on tiptoes to reach. It seems that no one tthought of using these bathrooms when they were built. Rooms are also extremely small.

The lobby was absolutely stunning, as was the rest of the hotel. Beautiful decorations. Room was a bit small but I was staying by myself so I didn’t mind. Location was great, about a 2 minute walk from the Queensway Train station, which basically takes you right into the city. Feels very safe for someone traveling alone!

I booked room on Expedia for over 100 pounds less than I was charged at the property. All the staff was extra nice other than the woman who checked us in. Do not fall for the pay at the property trick!

The location of the property is fantastic. Right by Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. And one street over from 2 Tube stations, and restaurants and stores. The hotel lobby is fine, but the rooms are very small, and so is the bathroom. It was hard to share the room with another person. Very closed in. Our room came with a step down right upon entering the room. I almost took a bad fall from it. The warning note about the step is smaller than a post-it note. The staff was very nice. The bed sheets were changed every other day, and the towels were changed with clean ones daily. I wouldn’t stay there again.

This hotel has some positives the staff dealing with breakfast service are a joy. Less so reception staff who have little interest in their guests. The rooms were adequate but not if you have luggage for more than a long weekend. Storage is limited. It is very handy for tube links to all London sites. Lots of places to eat so enjoy the breakfast and eat off site!

Positief: Netheid, personeel en service, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Wunderschönes Hotel, zentral zur U-Bahn Bayswater und Queensway. Kleine Läden und Restaurant/Pubs in der Nähe. Zum Joggen ist der Kensington Park 50 Meter entfernt. Immer wieder.
