Very affordable and clean place to rest. Only the restrooms/toilets are outside the rooms. Was not a big issue for us but you should know if this is a deal breaker for you.

El lugar es encantador, el staff súper agradable, el desayuno muy rico, está muy bien comunicado en metro pero, un gran pero para mí al menos, si tienes sueño ligero no es tu lugar. Se oía todo, la gente subiendo y bajando las escaleras, hablando, riendo hasta la dos de la mañana. He estado cuatro días y no he podido dormir ninguno. Estaría bien que los de recepción se dieran algún paseo por los pasillos por la noche para controlar el ruido. Gracias.

Nous ne connaissions pas le concept "guest house", qui nous a plus fait pensé à une auberge de jeunesse ", ... du coup assez bruyants. Il faut aussi s'adapter aux salles de bain, sanitaires, salon et cuisine en communs, mais en comparaison à l'accueil et à la gentillesse des jeunes personnes qui s'en occupent ça vaut le détour. Les chambres sont très agréables (comme sur les photos) et propres. Une station de métro et un arrêt de bus se trouvent au pied de l'établissement ce qui fait qu'il est bien situé, en plus d'un supermarché et des restaurants à proximité. Nous ne regrettons pas notre séjour, et en garderons un bon souvenir.

The staff here was really great. Lucas was very welcoming and informative. The building is rustic, but for the great staff and the price, it's hard to beat.

Fantastic Location... Literally across the street from the Metro...I had an early flight to catch up so was a great relief to be there in less then 2 min. The entire place inmaculate!! 5 stars to Hector & the faboulous ladies they are a Super team!! Left you a little something... Were totally available as I arrived exhausted as we do! Breakfast tons of great breads... My things and fresh fruit... Again the place spotsless!! Bravo to you Hector...❤‼

Good location ! Close to the station. Room is comfortable and clean, there are 2 bath rooms in each floor so had no problem for using it . Breakfast was enough for me.

L’établissement dans l’ensemble est bien et le personnel très très bien, malheureusement je n’avais pas vu dans ma réservation que la salle d’eau et les toilettes n’était pas dans la chambre ce qui n’était pas compatible avec se que nous souhaitions.La chambre était très froide nous avons mis deux jours pour avoir une température acceptable. Point positif nous avons eu aucune difficulté à nous faire rembourser deux nuits sur quatre ce qui nous a permis de finir notre séjour dans un autre hôtel un peu plus cher mais beaucoup plus confortable

Perfect except for the noise!
I loved my stay here, everything was spotless, the staff were all super friendly, great (and plentiful) breakfast, cosy room, etc. And it is literally across the street from the Metro. So convenient to get to/from the airport. However, there is no soundproofing at all in the rooms. The room above me had ppl walking around at 1 AM on hardwood floors both nights, several neighbours going to the toilet in the small hours and fiddling with the key in their doors. Outside, you could hear every car, every cough of a passerby, a cleaning crew with leafblowers at 11:30PM (seemingly with personal vendettas against leaves as it went on for ages), garbage trucks, noisy demonstrations, partiers, barking dogs, etc. In short - I didn't sleep much. Some better windows would make a huge difference! But I would still stay here again because I was really made to feel welcome. A home away from home :)

Perfect for a stopover in Lisbon. Really close to the metro line to the airport. Everyone is really friendly, room as described and the breakfast was good as well. We would stay here again.

The place is a wonderful example of old architecture and I loved it. Shared bathrooms is not the best, but not a deal breaker. Parking is horrible, so good luck with that. It is close to the airport, and another plus. The best thing is the staff. They are the BEST!

Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. It’s not super luxurious. It’s a guest house with shared bathrooms/WCs, kitchenette, and lounges. The breakfast was modest but lovely. Very reasonable price. We would definitely plan to stay again when we return to Lisbon.

I loved my stay at Chalet d’Avila. The staff was kind, communicative, helpful, and available 24/7. The property itself is beautiful, classic, with many opportunities overlook the city on one of its balconies. Breakfast in the morning was available from 7am-11am with a wide variety of options. Shared bathrooms were clean and always open when I needed them. It was quiet enough in the hotel that I was able to get a good nights sleep each night. The area surrounding the hotel is close to the metro and airport, safe, well lit, and with options for dining, shopping, and walking around. Definitely be sure to book this option for your stay!!
