We have stayed in the Orleans Parc hotel on our way to Spain. We had chosen the hotel for its convenient location, next to the motorway.
In sum the hotel is okay, but the value for money is less okay.
The hotel breathes a 1970s atmosphere, in terms of decoration. The rooms are small and with a cheap interior, but very clean. Very clean bathroom.
You cannot have supper at this hotel, which is really not a problem (because Orleans is so nearby). Breakfast was fine, but comes at an extra cost.
The total price of the stay (incl. breakfast) comes close to what you would otherwise pay at a 4-star hotel. Given that the hotel desperately needs a renovation, and given the small rooms, plus the really cheap interior, we felt the hotel was overpriced.
On our way back we chose an Accor hotel (Novotel Orleans). For about EUR 20 more, we had a bedroom of double the size, a WAAAAY better bed, a fine restaurant inside, and a swimming pool. For a minor markup you compare apples and oranges.
