Heating didn't work properly - could not get temperature above 60 degrees (highly uncomfortable in KC during Winter). Asked for a solution twice, but the issue was never resolved.

They were great about holding our belongings after check out and letting us valet early and stay after check out. Hotel is nice. Thermostat didn’t work well and it does smell musty, but it is an old building so that being considered overall was a great place to stay.

I enjoyed the style of the hotel and the services are excellent.Very convenient location for walking to convention center and local sites. Over time the dark colors and finishings can strain this old person's eyesight. Lighter colors to brighten things in the rooms and lobbies make things easier to read etc. Downside on the room were the drains in sink and shower.The sink plug mech was disconnected and won't open .The shower drain was slow and the floor filled when showering;just needs a clearing of the drain. Loved the property, super gorgeous. Lobby smelled nice, the room smelled a little old but I felt like that was to be expected from such an old place! The attitude of the staff could definitely be worked on.

Not a fan of old hotels. Rooms were small and did not get the room serviced after requesting it at the front desk. And homeless inside the facility and no bell desk service. Valet didn't even offer to load the luggages in the car. Better off staying at Marriot or Loews. Way overpriced for the room quality and service

The AC unit broke and sounded like a tornado siren going off in the king corner suite for about an hour, when the maintenance guy showed up he said they were having problems with it before we checked in he temporarily fixed the problem and said he would talk to the front desk about getting something back for the room but they did not want to comp anything for our troubles overall we were not happy with the stay recommend you stay somewhere else

Wrong room when we checked in. They claimed it was Expedia’s fault for misrepresenting the room. I don’t think so. They did give us a better room after the first night. Just ok hotel given the expense of the room. Would not stay there again.

The hotel itself was lovely. But we paid for the Le Petit Chef experience last night and visited the Taveronna for brunch this morning. Both had cold inedible food. Service at Taveronna was awful, giving my finacee runny scrambled eggs cold biscuits and gravy. Myself got the French toast also cold. The Le Petit experience was no better. A couple left our table after the 3rd course. The seafood course was cold. The steak portion well done and dry. The crème brûlée cold and runny. And we had to pay BEFORE we ate. Then they serve abysmal drinks from a rinky dinky bar set up in what looks like a storage facility with some tables slapped in. I would love to come back to the hotel but the food was awful and the staffing in those food environments very unprofessional.

Two of three small elevators were down Long lines to access floor and room. Three of four mornings the lobby coffee was empty. Ive had wonderful Curio Collection experiences but not this in KC.

It would have been nice to have longer bar hours. We were in KC for the Big 12 basketball tournament and had to celebrate elsewhere.

The bathroom needed a new coat of paint, makeup arks on walls and floor needs to be cleaner. I expect more from this hotel.

Loved staying here!! Perfect KC hotel. Only thing was the valet parking was nice but getting your car back took a while on a busy checkout morning.
