Zeer fijn en verzorgd hotel, heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, dakterras waar je kan eten is top, elke avond een bijzonder uitzicht, je moet wel tegen drukte verkeer kunnen, is een continue stroom, verder liggen allen bezienswaardige gebouwen op zeer korte loopafstand, een aanrader dus.

Great hotel, great service, great people
It was a great experience. We choose for this hotel because of the location and the good reviews. The reviews came 100% true. The employees are very kind and did everything to make it comfortable for us. We get a free room upgrade and also get a baby bed as free of charge. Parking was possible for free in front of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing with fresh made gozleme like you order. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia what made it very nice to explore the town without the car. We absolutely recommend this hotel, also for families.

Prima hotel op goede locatie
Hotel ligt op prima locatie in het toeristische centrum. Veel restaurantjes, bars en bezienswaardigheden op korte loopafstand. Persoonlijke ontvangst en afscheid bij de receptie. Ontbijtbuffet met voldoende keuze. Goede prijs/kwaliteitsverbouding.

I think the property is overrated. The staff and everyone is extremely friendly professional and courteous (that is the only upside) but the breakfast really needs to be improved. It is mostly cold basic minimal continental breakfast. They offer tour services and guides that are overpriced sadly including the airport transfer which is twice the price if you did by yourself. I ended up paying for guide services that cost me 150 euro which I paid. Later I realized that the brochure they had provided me had different prices quoted. Basically in the end it is a great location but I would strongly advise doing your own research on activities and guides rather than relying on the hotel.

A warm welcome taking our bags out of taxi and to our room was followed up by Serkan at reception offering us a drink and spending 30 minutes with us finding out what we were interested in with very helpful suggestions for sites, restaurants, Turkish delights and Baklava to take home, it was the best reception l've had in 40 years of international travel including many 5 star hotels. All the staff were beyond excellent. The room and bed were comfortable and we used the terrace to relax after dinner at the highly recommended Garden 1897. Breakfast buffet was also great. My wife was in the mood for cherries when she saw them at the market and they miraculously appeared as part of the buffet the next morning!

The hotel is in a convenient, walkable distance from Sultanahmet Square. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the Sea of Marmara. It was big with a comfortable bed, lounge & armchairs. A big TV with the only Netflix on our entire trip. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good- a big choice. Other meals & bar service were also available at any time. A lovely hotel & I would definitely stay here again. Oh and heated floors which made it so welcoming.

The Amira hotel is within walking distance to many of the attractions in Istanbul. The hotel has been redone in a very appealing boutique way. Our room was noisy but loved being part of the action . What really stands out though is the staff. They are incredibly kind, supportive & really go out of their way to make sure all of your needs are being met. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a beautiful top floor room with a balcony. Very spacious and light and in a quieter area but still close to everything. Beautifully decorated and the staff are extremely helpful. Delightful and convenient place to stay.

This is a lovely restored property. I requested and received a room with a balcony and patio furniture which was wonderful. But it required 2 flights of stairs to get to after taking an elevator. I am just not able to do that kind of stair work after walking all day to see the sights. I switched hotels and the front desk could not have been more understanding or accommodating.

This was the best hotel that we found during our stay. It was conveniently located behind Hagia Sophia, so traveling around that part and Grand Bazaar was easy. The staff are friendly and give you great advice on sightseeing options. We took their advice on sunset Bosphorus cruise and that was the best. Breakfast was phenomenal along with their front desk staff, chefs, and housekeepers. I would stay in Hotel Amira again.

I really was expecting something better. I saw the reviews and it said Exceptional, 9.7, I know that when I book the hotel the only room available was the economy room for 2, I was thinking they would be able to upgrade me, and they upgraded me to a similar room that was for 3 people, (so it was a little bigger) but we were 2, so I didn't care for that room, I wanted a more modern room. The people that works in the hotel were fenomenal, specially the manager, who was willing to cancel part of my reservation, because he felt bad for us, even that my reservation was supposed to be non refundable. What I want to clear out, is that the pictures in the website and in Expedia, doesn't have anything to do with the type of room I got, even the common areas weren't as nice as in the pictures. But like I said, probably the personal made a big difference.

We just stayed for a night before heading to Konya. We love this hotel more than the other hotel we stayed in Ahmedsultan area. The room and bathroom were very clean and smells nice. It’s well maintained. The front desk, Sam helped us to find a taxi with reasonable price. All staff were friendly. Would definitely stay with them again when we visit Istanbul!

Very kind and professional staff for a very good price. Considering the price I paid. I was extremely impressed with how great the amenities and location were. Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir hatten eine Unterkunft nebst Flug gebucht. Das Upgrade vom Standardzimmer zu einem deutlich größeren mit Balkon haben wir dankend angenommen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Das Frühstück war vollständig und in Teilen täglich frisch zubereitet. Die Lage war für uns ideal, in 5 bis 10 Minuten bergauf zur Blauen Moschee. Das nächste Mal buchen wir wieder dieses Hotel.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us by getting us into a room early and offered us a complimentary meal while we waited. We were treated VERY well here and it was a short walk to all of the important sites in Sultanahmet.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful.
