The location is amazing right next to ferry . Luggages can be store till check in time. Is located right middle of everything. We had dinner , food are pretty good. Breakfast is great with many variety. Room are very comfortable, we have the room with 1/2 lake and town view. Is quite.at night. I step out at late night just right outside of the hotel to see the stars on beautiful peaceful skies. We have lovely stay and fun tour in salt mines. We travel lots around Asia , Europe, Australia but my daughter love the experience of the salt mines best.

The balcony is terribly dirty with spider webs all around. There is no shower curtain, so the shower water makes the floor all wet. In general the view and location is really great, but the room itself is not good. The room is over-priced.

The hotel sits on a magical spot on (Lake) Hallstatter See. We had dinner there one evening. The waitstaff was helful and curtious, the food was very good and the presentation excellent. We had a window seat overlooking the lake. It was perfect. I would consider it one of the nicest eating establishments in town. The breakfast is typical European fare - plentiful and fresh. If you have a gluten allergy let them know when you arrive and they will prepare gf bread for you. The hotel has three buildings. We were in building 3. Our room was sooo sweet. It has windows that opened up with a beautiful of the Lake. The front desk staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They will help make your stay a wonderful one :) Also, a quick note... the hotel is across from the ferry, so if you are taking a train to or from Hallstatt this is very convenient. I have only one small critique... the bed pillows were pretty thin, so if you like more neck support I would requesr extra pillows.

The property is situated across from the ferry terminal. It has the most amazing view of the mountains, lake and church.

Make sure you get the main building room. We stayed for 2 nights and was assigned to the rooms that is 300m building away. The lake view is different than the original room. The room keys didn’t work for first day and second day.. front desk asked me to walk back to the main building to fix it.

The stay is very pleasant in this hearty hotel. It is located conveniently next to the ferry pier. My room is spacious and on the top floor with a balcony facing the lake. The view is just unbeatable. The amenities provided in the room are in high quality. A nice breakfast is included.

2nd stay at Heritage - previously in junior suite, this time in lake view deluxe. Great views from main house Kainz. Room was comfortable with free water and coffee machine and fridge. They have renovated downstairs reception and restaurant, not much more space but feels more modern. The food at dinner and service were excellent and value for money. The breakfast was good but lacked variety. The only negatives relate to poor housekeeping not replacing items and a waitress in the restaurant with her hair up and big earrings who was so rude and difficult with guests - telling off everyone. The other waiters were helpful and polite. People are paying her wages who stay here and she should show some more respect in customer service matters - maybe retrain her or put here back of house please. Property has nice sauna in top floor. Overall enjoyable stay. Thanks.

Stunning views from our balcony , right on the lake. Room very comfortable , quiet , clean and close proximity to shopping and restaurants and yet remote enough for peace and quiet . Hallstatt is highly recommended.

Excelente estadia em Hallstatt
Estadia muito agradável em Hallstatt, o quarto era muito espaçoso, confortável, com ótimo chuveiro e limpeza impecável. O nosso quarto tinha uma sacada com vista incrível do lago e da cidade e uma cafeteira disponível para aquecer as temperaturas negativas. O restaurante do hotel oferece boa comida e ótimo atendimento. Além do café da manhã ser excelente, com muitas opções. O único inconveniente é que os quartos não ficam no mesmo local da recepção e do restaurante, mas a estadia foi tão agradável que isso se tornou um mero detalhe, já que caminhar uma curta distância no centrinho sempre compensa com a vista.

They put us in a room not as described in the Hotels.com listing: - room was in different location from hotel building (5 minutes walk) - room was on 3rd floor and without elevator - no hot water (for shower) at nite - hotel reception offered no solution when we complained

I can not say enough wonderful things about the Heritage hotel!! I am doing a 28 days trip in 3 countries and 6 places so far and nothing compares to this Heritage hotel, wonderful location, woderful place, wonderful people giving 100% great service..... in the room you will enjoy many complimentary things like a Nespresso, free water, skin conditioner and shampoos etc.... Wonderful hotel in a wonderful place!!!!!! Well worth it!!

Beautiful setting. Our room was not in the main building, but in one of the other properties. It was comfortable, quiet, peaceful, with an amazing view of the lake. We enjoyed everything about the hotel, including the restaurant. The breakfast brunch was generous and fairly varied, and dinner was excellent.
