Mooi resort aan het strand
Het Meli Palace is een prachtig hotel met er vriendelijk personeel en animatie team Wat alleen jammer is is dat op de site van Expedia staat dat het hotel in Agios Nicolai’s ligt in plaats van Sissi , 25 km verderop. Als je graag dit havenstadje wilt bezoeken moet je of een taxi nemen (a€70 retour!!) of een eigen auto huren of de bus die 1x per dag langdkomt Je hoeft je in Meli Palace echter niet te vervelen: je kunt de hele dag meedoen SAN activiteiten: yogha, Pilatus, beachvolleybal, waterpolo in het zwembad aquagym. Er is elke avond entertainment in het kleine amfitheater buiten, er is een Spa en gym beneden. Tenslotte zijn de buffetten ook geweldig! Het is zeker een hotel om terug te komen.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, very clean and good covid controls in place without making it overly intrusive. Guests overall were respectful of the covid rules making it pleasant and relaxed. Rooms are a bit dated, but given that most time is spent outside, it did not matter to us.

E' stata senza dubbio una delusione, faccio un paio di esempi banali: palestra a pagamento e mancanza totale di cose banali come il balsamo. Inoltre il cibo era davvero terribile. Non lo consiglio ad italiani.

We consider all guest comments an important tool that enables us to constantly develop our level of services and we have well noted your critical words. As per our reception logbook we had provides extra hair conditioner for your room right after you asked for it. In terms of our spa center, we usually find our guests understanding to charge a small fee of EUR 4 per day to keep a non-crowded and sportive atmosphere in the gym. We are very sorry that we could not quite meet your taste in terms of our restaurant program. Our buffet plan in the main restaurant is set in a 14 days rotating schedule. We do our utmost to please all different tastes with both, international and typically local dishes and three Greek theme nights per week. Also we offer various special show cooking, like different fresh pasta and burger events, even a whole lamb grilled on a spit every Sunday. Moreover, our A-la-carte restaurant is included for every guest once per stay and offers a fine 5-course menu in a lush garden location at the seaside and is considered as a culinary highlight by most of our guests. Once again, we would like to thank you for your feedback and we do hope to have the chance of welcoming you back to Meli Palace in the near future, to prove that your previous experience was merely accidental. J’ai aimé le personnel très professionnel, gentil et très attentif, on se sent important et en vacances L’hotel Est mignon, sobre, très bien maintenu, très propre, avec un jardin magnifique mais nous a semblé trop « petit », non en taille mais en équipements et services proposés : il manque de diversité en bars et restaurant. Au bout de quelques jours on a vite fait le tour avec le seul resto et bar, qui sont souvent pleins et où il faut attendre une place. La nourriture est bonne et variée même si les fruits et pâtisseries proposés sont médiocres et à améliorer. L’hotel A une toute petite plage ou la mer est souvent pas belle. Il se trouve aussi loin de tout, on est obligé de prendre des taxis pour se déplacer. Faudrait peut être organiser des navettes gratuites vers les villes les plus proches. L’animation le soir est qualitative et variée mais finit trop tôt, faudrait penser à d´autres types d’animations et pas que pour les enfants. La piscine est trop petite à mon goût et pas digne d’un 4 étoiles mais propre et surveillée

Pleasant stay to relax
Overall our trip to the Meli palace was nice - the hotel grounds are very beautiful and well kept. My boyfriend and I went for 5 days, we are in our mid 20s and felt to be the youngest there (aside from kids) - mostly older couples and some families. Downside is there’s just one pool and the sea was a bit too rough to enter so we were a bit bored on some days, but if you like to chill by the pool and relax this is a nice place for you!

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at this hotel. The staff were particularly attentive and friendly, always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was quite good and fresh, with enough variety and change each day so that we did not get bored. There were several decent options for the wine included, and they also had really nice paid ones that we treated ourselves to on our last night. The facilities were well taken care of, and there were many nice activities offered. The one aspect we were disappointed with was the kids club. While the young people working at the kids club were all lovely, I would have hoped for a more structured program where we could leave our 5 year old for a good part of the day. Even so, the whole family thoroughly enjoyed out stay. An additional piece of advice for families with kids would be to avoid the Happy Train tour which stops in front of the hotel. We personally found it long, hot and definitely not geared towards kids.

Couldn’t do more
I have just returned from a long weekend with 8 friends who I go away with every year. From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant. They looked after us so well and were always so kind. From the welcome staff being so informative, to the waiting staff, who couldn’t do enough. The manager came over to say hello on our first night and was so attentive. The food was very good and extensive as were the cocktails and being our 7th year away at an all inclusive was probably the best so far. Thank you Grecotel Meli Palace for your attention to detail and your wonderful surprise for us. We will certainly be back to visit again.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The staff couldn't be more helpful and nothing is too much trouble. All the facilities are very good, the food is also excellent, with a great variety. If their is any criticism it is about the rooms, which although spacious and clean, are quite basic.

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Meli Palace. The staff are fantastic and food and facilities beyond expectations. Huge amount of choice of fresh local and international food options. Wide range of activities available if you want to take part but very unobtrusive if you don't. Walks along the coast to the palace at Malia and restaurants and shops in Sissi (both 2-3kms) Can't wait to return.

This is an amazing all inclusive property. For it's age,it is well maintained and is currently in the process of renovating the rooms. Now they do look dated but are very clean. The staff is trained or in training in the hospitality industry and they are excellent Food and beverage were wonderful and if we were not there for wedding events , we would not have left the property.

Wonderful staff and beautiful location. We felt rigged st home and the staff treated us with the utmost courtesy and patience. Our every need was met from reception to dining to housekeeping and more. My only criticism is the beds could be less firm.

Unfortunately dissapointed generally. Not a 4 star resort, sorry. Not sure why so many rated the food so high.Same taste every day. The room we had had many cracks everywhere.Refurbishement needed. Mainly germans and russians.Average entertainment. Nothing to do around the hotel. Rule about having trouser for the diner is pretty stupid as it is not respected by all male guests and there is a difference of treatment between guests.Came in with trousers the first 2 evenings and saw many went in shorts.3rd day,i tried to come in a plain dark bermuda short but was told I should change from short to trouser while 4 guests after me came in ! I argued and showed that to the Service manager who rather rudely answered to me that they had shorts under the knee cap??? and that for hygiene reasons they require trousers? But cats walking around freely in the restaurant are ok...for hygiene. It did upset my daughter who felt embarrased by the situation in front of other guests.Unfortunately the rest of the stay was a bit ruined by that as I saw every evening guests coming with shorts while I had to come in trousers.Explained my point of view to the hotel management, but was told that a rule is a rule. When trying to ask why some guests were allowed shorts , the answer was that the hotel can't upset guests either, but they did for me. I was also told that it wasn't personal, but it was hard to believe. For that reason and others i strongly recommend to stay away from that hotel .

Calm, nice family holidays with good food and tidy
Very nice Hotel with own beach (with rubble and sand away from the busy nightlife of Malia. Many children/ families. Good restaurant and gorgeous service. Very tidy (house, pool and beach). Nice Animation. Shos little bit loud till 11:00 p.m but then quiet. Recommended for people who want to have calm, nice family holidays.

Bon séjour début septembre
Séjour de 10 jours du 26 08 au 05 09. très bel hôtel, assez neuf, idéal pour le repos mais avec beaucoup d'enfants en bas age ce qui n'était pas dérangeant car très bon niveau de la clientèle essentiellement allemande. très peu de francophones mais 2 membres du personnel se débrouillent très bien en français, sinon il faut quelques notions d'anglais. Il n'y a rien dans les environs si ce n'est Sissi à 2 km et Malia à 5 ou 6 km, donc il faut une voiture ou faire appel à un taxi pour un peu voir autre chose que l'hôtel. Il y a un bus pour Agios Nicholaos tous les jours sauf le dimanche. La nourriture est bonne, surtout la partie "greek food" mais les buffets sont assez répétitifs. Très bon séjour au calme.

Un 5 étoiles à taille humaine
Très bel hôtel et, pour une fois, de taille humaine pour un 5 étoiles. Accueil parfait, très classe. Piscine fantastique, jardin et plage (cailloux dans l'eau), mer translucide. Service impeccable, buffet copieux. Pour les familles qui ne veulent pas se compliquer la vie, pour ceux qui ne veulent pas bouger et juste se détendre. Ou pour ceux qui veulent, l’espace de 24 h, goûter à la vie de pacha.

I will start with a small review about the hotel. It is absolutely amazing, the facilities are wonderful. Almost all of the staff were helpful (there was a woman on the reception who didn't have any concept of distance... 25 minute walk to Malia?! 1 hour, anyway, I digress) the hotel was clean and welcoming. The hotel was mainly German and Russian people, not an issue really we didn't come to make new friends in England, we have enough of those as it is! However there was a nice man from the Netherlands who was friendly. The entertainment was about as cringy and amazing as we had hoped, the couples night was very funny. The fire show and the glass was both horrifying and spectacular. The pool was magnificent and the beach was great. The food was outstanding and both my girlfriend and I ate far more than we thought physically possible and became friends with the guy and gal who cook the pasta fresh in front of you. The absolute best part of the entire holiday for me was, Kostas! The barman. He is an absolute wizard on the bar and I would very much like him to come to Brighton next time and make me a piña colada. I did a little bit of maths and worked out I had about 10-12 litres of piña colada over the course of a boozy week. He was very friendly and his English was good. If he doesn't receive a raise immediately I will take it as a personal insult. He was the best member of staff I've been served by. Regards, A very happy holidaymaker from Brighton.

Vacances dans un hôtel de style familial
L'hôtel est isolé, mais un petit train passe plusieurs fois pour emmener les vacanciers à la ville la plus proche (sissi). Il faut impérativement mentionner au chauffeur le fait de vouloir vous arrêter dans cette ville, sinon, vous aurez juste le droit au parcours ‘Attrape-Touristes’ Un petit commerce se trouve dans l'hôtel. Le personnel est très agréable et toujours désireux de vous faire passer un agréable séjour. Cet hôtel à la particularité d'accueillir beaucoup d'allemands et de russes, en ce qui concerne les français, ils sont quasiment inexistants. On mange bien avec un choix relativement conséquent, mais il n'y a pas de rotation, c'est tous les jours quasiment les mêmes plats. Les animateurs, bien que sympas sont relativement discrets. Les spectacles.... Beaucoup de danses, c'est dommage, il manque un bon manager je pense. Aucune traduction française, il faut impérativement comprendre le Russe, l'allemand ou l'Anglais. Cette équipe ne reflète pas le cadre de l'hôtel. Cet hôtel respire le calme, mais attention à certaines chambres ou toute la nuit on entend un bruit de moteur. Les chambres sont simple, une seule pièce en règle générale. Avec des enfants, pas d'intimité. Une femme de ménage passe tous les jours. Prenez absolument un coffre, je me suis fait voler ma montre par la femme de ménage. Le soir, les hommes doivent mettre un pantalon pour aller manger. Dommage, il fait très chaud. Il y a une belle piscine et surtout, une très belle plage privé.
