'Had an amazing stay here. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed! Super clean, well equipped and very spacious. Host was very attentive and responsive to queries. The only thing I’d say (which isn’t even a negative) but didn’t impact negatively on our stay would be having it more secure to allow dogs to go out slide door within living room area to the back without worrying they’d wander off. Will definitely return. We had an amazing Christmas here and made wonderful memories.'

'The cottage was clean, cozy, and much larger than I expected! It was in a fairly out of the way location (but not far at all from Oban) that was great for avoiding city traffic. Our host Maureen was very nice and friendly and If/when we travel back to Scotland, and plan on visiting Oban, we would happily stay here again.'

'Met all expectations. Unbeatable view. Great, enclosed area for dogs. Good quality (and number of) bathrooms. 3 in all. Hot tub was a bonus. Initially dubious all 6 of us (adults) would fit in comfortably - but we did! Wonderful find.'

'A lovely property backing on to the main road to Oban. Had everything we needed for a great extended family weekend. All enjoyed the fabulous hot tub and we made good use of the BBQ and fire pit table in the evenings. A couple of snags and Gillian got on to them straight away, thank you!'

'Stayed for a week in this cottage with fabulous views. Very clean and just about everything you need. We were only missing a corkscrew and egg cups, but anything else you need is there. Not quite as homely as we would have hoped as the cottage is quite sparse, but still had a wonderful time. Great to be able to access the canal and take a nice long walk to Neptune’s staircase from the cottage!'

'This is an excellent house in a beautiful area. We had 15 guests ranging from 4 to 79 - the accommodation was perfect for all of our needs…it was warm, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a particular highlight. Gillian was approachable and helpful if needed. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and the area.'

'We spent one week in Strathlorn and started our first day in glorious sunshine. We made the most of it and did a long walk on the isle with a stop at the heritage centre: lots of history and homemade onion soup! Also we made good use of the ferry to Port Appin, the shop is closer than the one on Lismore and it's a good excuse to have tea and scones at the Pier House. There are nice strolls just from the doorstep, one gets you very near Castle Stalker (very romantic, especially in the rain). We...

'Prachtig ruim opgezet huis met veel slaapkamer en badkamers, zeer comlete keuken! Klein puntje van kritiek, de temperatuur in het huis is niet te regelen, en door de muggen kunnen de ramen niet open. Voor de rest enorm genoten van Schotland en dit huis!'

Immaculate, roomy, with easy access to the roads to take our family of five on many hikes and adventures while having a cozy home base to return to when we were done with our day. '7 of us stayed here for the last week of summer and we had an amazing time. The house was the perfect location, with comfortable beds and stunning views from the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen facilities were perfect for what we needed- recommend bringing a food shop with you as the closest supermarket is a while away but the local co-op was perfect for bits and bobs we’d forgotten. The Grey Mares Tail waterfall right on the doorstep was a lovely afternoon out and the local pubs were friendly...

'Lovely little base for a West Highland getaway. Isolated and quiet with comfort and peace. Only thing you have to put up with is the midges, but not much can be done about those evil little things! '
