'My time at Passal Hostel was a real surprise. Paulo is so welcoming you immediately feel at home and above all he is so helpful and approachable. He took so much time for each guest to mention all the possibilities of exploring the island. I always find criticism important in order to become better and better and so I can only mention the humidity which is simply noticeable and for some is not advantageous and I would also find a shoe rack outside the rooms simply more pleasant for all guests....

'Nice and tranquil place to stay in the middle of furnas. Comfortable beds. Jacuzzi/sauna/pool were a nice addition. We had a little trouble getting there, because the road was blocked, but after calling the host, we heard that we can ask the roadworkers to let us pass, and they did, so that was resolved quickly.'

'Best place I ever stayed at. Amazingly beautiful environment with water, mountain and field views. Amazing owners and staff with a breakfast feast that caters to each guests preference with lots of fresh fruit from their organic garden. Adelia and Guy were readily available to make excellent recommendations on activities, help book rental car/taxi or whatever came up. Farm animals on property . 'What a GREAT surprise. No regular Motel experience here. Like staying in your Grandma's House. Everyone staying has a place set for Breakfast. Great Conversation and trip discusions. Breakfast is all local sourced, really good! Yogurts.Jambs, Breads, Fruits, eggs. and coffee your way! I met all German people and had a great time. Did a local hike with the owner and some guests. This was a great start to a wonderfull trip! '

'Er wordt 24 7 op je gelet. Het "management" communiceert met geschreven berichten. Al direct na aankomst krijg je het gevoel niet welkom te zijn. Het huis hangt vol met A4-tjes wat allemaal niet mag. Daarnaast is het huis zeer gehorig. Vooral de privé achterdeur slaat constant met een harde klap dicht. Expedia zou diverse fouten hebben gemaakt met de boeking en een veel te lage prijs hebben berekend. Er bleef dan ook maar 1 B van de B&B over. Breakfast kon er niet meer vanaf. We zijn dan ook...
