It was very dirty in the rooms and the kitchen. Hairs an crumbs on the floor, dirty dishes, weird spots on the wall, hard bed, very nasry smell in the hallways. It is not worth your money!! We payed 400 eu for 4 nights... Please spend your money somewhere else because this is just a waste.

Het is een plek om te slapen, meer niet Het personeel is vriendelijk en gastvrij de balie is 24 uur bezet, de eerste nacht waren de alom aanwezige studenten erg rumoerig, aanspreken hielp deels, aangeven bij de receptie hielp beter, verdere nachten niets gehoord

Plek om te slapen in Edingburgh
De kamer was nestjes en schoon maar er was totaal geen comfort; zelfs geen plastic bekertje en zeep om je handen te wassen in de douche. De handdoeken (1 grote handdoek per persoon) werden niet vervangen, moet je zelf wassen. Je kamer wordt niet opgeruimd en ook je bed niet opgemaakt. Het bed van 1.20 is echt niet geschikt voor 2 personen. Onze kamer grensde aan de buitenplaats waar iedere avond volop feestjes gevierd werden en dus zeer gehorig was.

Bed 120 cm wide for 2 persons. One towel for two. No pendants. Very smal rooms +/- 205 a 210 cm. This night costs us 2 sleepingpills the man.

1 Woche während des Fringe Festivals
Einfache, aber recht günstige Unterkunft in einem ruhigen Stadtteil von Edinburgh. Das das Zimmer klein und das Bett nur knapp 140cm breit ist, war uns vorab bewusst. Positiv: - Sehr guter Preis (während des Fringe Festival) - gute Lage (15~20 min zu Fuß zur Princess Street) - Je 5 Zimmer teilen eine kleine Küche mit allem notwendigen Geräten und Sitzgelegenheiten - die Dusche hatte einen guten, kraftvollen Wasserstrahl - Supermärkte (Lidl und Tesco) sowie eine tolles und super günstiges Frühstücks-Café (Crumbs) um die Ecke. Negativ: - die Matratze echt durchgelegen - unterm Bett war viel Staub (Klappe davor) - der Wasserhahn im Bad hat kaum Wasser gegeben (recht dünnes Rinnsal) - Lüftung im Bad hat kaum funktioniert (wie Sauna) - Wände brauchen neuen Anstrich (viele Abschürfungen/Farbspritzer) - Koffer Aufbewahrung nur bei Anreise (wir mussten den Koffer bei Abreise behalten und mehrere Stunden beim Standbesuch mitnehmen: NO GO, wenn es anders auf der Website steht!)

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The bed comfortably accommodated two people, although the pillows and mattress showed signs of wear. The location, a 30-minute uphill walk to the city center, felt a bit distant. To add, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Billig litt utenfor sentrum
Billig, men enkel standard. Litt langt å gå fra sentrum med bagasje, men grei bussforbindelse. Ingen søppelbøtte på rommet, men rent og enkelt.

The room was clean and well organised,really quiet,and close to supermarket (lidl and asda), AT 15min from the city Center with bus stop close by. There was a private kitchen for 5 rooms which was really handy. We had access to a laundry that was cheap and it was very useful. Only negative point: the absence of television in the room.

Edinburgh Weekend Trip
3 day stay to visit my daughter. Just needed a place to sleep at night. Basic student room. Spotlessly clean.Communal sitting area / kitchen with everything needed to self cater. No TV. Previous reviews mentioned poor insulation / noise but maybe I was just lucky as I had no issues. Parking on street outside permitted between 5.30 pm and 8.30 am. Would definitely stay again.(Assume only available outwith Uni term time.) Good Price for Edinburgh where >£200 per night is the norm.

Had a great stay, staff was lovely. Was a bit worried about the noise after reading some reviews but was lucky enough to have a quiet stay. There’s a kitchen for each 5 bedrooms or so which I never used and the bed was comfy. Wifi was amazing and I was working from there so it was perfect. There’s a lobby in the main reception building with foosball and a tv, which I found pretty cool. I stayed in the building across the street and the location is perfect. Many supermarkets and cafes within a 5 min walk. The bedroom could be a bit cleaner maybe but not too bad. I think mostly was due to wear and tear so maybe not even possible to clean any better. There’s no tv so ensure you take a book or something otherwise you’ll be bored. The only callouts: please put a bin in the bedroom or bathroom. Also the bathroom’s light works via sensor so don’t be a fool like me looking for a switcher that simply isn’t there! :) Overall it’s great value for money and will definitely stay there again!

The staff here are very friendly and helpful, like so so so friendly. If you are comfortable with this type of lodging and just appreciate it for what it is, this is one of the better experiences you will have.

This was student accommodations, so don't expect too much of it. There were two of us, so there was a bit of a space problem when keeping our luggage in the room. The sink water pressure was low. Otherwise, it was convenient for its location.

Very uncomfortable, hard bed!!
Very basic, simple accommodation. The bed was advertised as a double. It was not. I’d call it a large single, or a small double, but certainly not a standard double. It was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I did not get one good nights sleep whilst there. I complained to reception who said they’d add an extra duvet under bottom sheet. This never happened. The ensuite was very small. The shower cubicle was tiny, which made showering hard. The shower head didn’t fit on holder properly, which was also an issue. On a positive note, water was always hot, and very powerful. The room was quiet, apart from when neighbouring rooms got back, which is to be expected. Location was decent enough, with buses into the centre only a short walk away.

Great place to stay on a budget
Overall, we had a really good stay. The price and location are excellent. Check in was easy and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was as expected, nice and clean and a decent enough size for us to use as a base for a few nights away. As other reviewers have mentioned, we only got two pillows for two people. If it is possible to choose, I would recommend NOT staying on the ground floor or facing the road that reception is on as the noise from cars, talking, people coming and going and the cleaning carts is very loud most of the time.

Very uncomfortable bed
The bed was very uncomfortable and small, smaller than a standard double. Only one very flat pillow each. We were only able to get one extra pillow between the two of us. The room was small, dark and always too warm, even with the window open all night, a very uncomfortable sleep. Stained towels. Upside great location and staff were really nice.

Terrible comfort.
Would not recommend this accommodation, and I’m not that picky! Advertised as a double bed, it was not a full double - perhaps a slim double or enlarged single. My partner and I just about managed. The mattress was the worst I’ve ever encountered, the pillows were worse than useless and the fridge contained rotten bananas. The staff at the front desk were helpful and supplied extra pillows, but even then. It is cheap, somewhat cheerful but woefully uncomfortable.

Good Budget Stay
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, shared kitchen was very clean. To sum up it was a good value for money. The room looks exactly like the picture shown.
