De kamer was ruim en het bed sliep heerlijk. Ook de douche was fijn en het ontbijt lekker. Maar helaas zullen we niet teruggaan naar dit hotel. We hebben 1 avond gegeten in het hotel en de kwaliteit van dit eten was niet zo goed en veel was al koud. In de ochtend kwam om 7.30 housekeeping binnen en deed alle lampen aan. (We sliepen nog) niet echt professioneel dus. Het personeel van de wellness heeft er nog niet veel van begrepen. De 1e avond was er een man in de cabine met zijn mobiel. Dit is natuurlijk voor privacy niet helemaal normaal en ook nog gevaarlijk. Toen we dit aangaven bij het personeel kwam er weinig reactie. De 2e avond was er een grote groep mensen (sommigen met kleding aan) die enorm veel herrie maakte en fotos van elkaar maakten in de sauna. Het personeel liep rond en heeft dit ook zeker gehoord. Totaal respectloos en dit moet gewoon niet toegestaan zijn. Wederom een rustige avond in de wellness verpest. Het hotel ligt op een geweldige locatie en de kamer was mooi maar we zullen niet meer terugkomen. We hebben 6 hotels geboekt tijdens onze rondreis Kroatië. Dit hotel was de laatste en duurste..maar alle andere 5 hotels waren beter dus dit hotel heeft zeker nog e.e.a te verbeteren. We hebben feedback gegeven bij de receptie.

Heerlijk hotel, perfecte locatie
Valamar Argosy is een hotel die zijn vier sterren waard is. Het personeel is vriendelijk en de faciliteiten zijn goed. We hebben vaak genoten bij het zwembad, al liggen de bedjes vaak na 11 uur wel vol. Er zijn drie stranden in de buurt, helemaal prima. Met de bus, die eens in de tien minuten gaat, ben je zo in het centrum van Dubrovnik. Als je je buskaartjes in de winkel van het hotel, dat bespaard 4 kuna per kaartje. Ontbijt buffet is prima, genoeg variatie. In het hotel is ook een pinautomaat aanwezig. Al met al een heerlijk hotel, elke minuut genoten van het prachtige Kroatië.

Prachtige ligging voor alles!
Ideaal voor combinatie stad en strand. Het hotel is prachtig gelegen. Op loopafstand een bus die om de 10 min naar dubrovnik gaat, rit duurt 15 min. Mooi zwembad en bij hotel president een redelijk betaalbaar prachtig strand, 28 euro, de andere 2 kosten er 40!

This is a resort hotel at the end of Lapad peninsula with great scenic walkway promenade to the center of the town. There are many restaurants and cafes with gorgeous view of the Adriatic sea and the islands located on this beautiful promenade. Hotel has excellent service and very friendly and courteous staff and knowledgeable people at the concierge.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. The breakfast was phenomenal and the room was exceptional, we had an amazing view. Some of the reception staff was not accommodating to our late check-out request, we had to wait in the lobby for three hours before going to the airport. The hotel is only a 30 min ride by bus to the old town, the bus station is right outside the hotel. The area around the hotel is not too bad however there are not alot of options for dining. The beach is only few minutes away which made this stay great.

Hotel hat offensichtlich ein Problem mit Schimmel in den Zimmern. Besonders um die Klimaanlage herum fand sich Schimmel oder war frisch überstrichen. Leider gab es keinen Saft zum Frühstück nur Sirup der vom Automaten mit Wasser verdünnt wurde. Schmeckte nur nach Zucker mit gelben Farbstoff. Ansonsten war die Auswahl beim Frühstück aber groß.

Lovely hotel in a really beautiful location with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Very good facilities and restaurants/bars available on site. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel which will take you to the Old Town in Dubrovnik in around 15 mins. Would definitely recommend the hotel. We hope to return sometime in the future.

My husband and I were reserved for the Argosy hotel--but when we checked in-they told us we had been moved to the Valamar Tirena. First, one of the reasons we booked the Argosy is it overlooked the water. The Tirena does not. We were told that the Tirena was a higher rated hotel--it is not the Argosy has more stars (why did reception not tell us the truth?). They told us they were closing--only to find out that when we walked past there later that evening and the next day the hotel was full of people. We were not given the hotel we booked--yet--I still paid the amount that was quoted--and I was only given to the 5th to cancel--it didn't work in reverse--I feel that I am owed some type of compensation. At least a free drink? Nothing was offered.

Perfect getaway
Hotel was perfect! The room was modern and the beds were so good to sleep on. The views from the pools are so beautiful and overall the pool area has so many sunbeds, all are in good spot. U can watch the same view while eating breakfast. Breakfreast and buffet are really various, theres so many different meals etc to choose on and they are delicous. Only minus that water costs 4-6€ and the burger in snack bar was dry, only mayonnese and lettuce. Staff is very friendly and professional! We got suprise bottle from hotel cause my partner had birthday. You should visit President hotels beach to see fish, cause it costs Valamar argosy guests only 15€ to have 2 sunbeds. Hotel also considers environment and they have Sunpanels on use and notes in the room, to make customer think environment too.

Let down by the aesthetic look of the exterior ( painted rendered wood effect) but taking nothing away from this hotel, it has everything you need and more… food was spectacular and the views speak for themselves. The more expensive 5 stars we visited were no where near as nice as the Argosy…

Our stay at the Valamar Argosy Hotel was truly peaceful! We enjoyed getting up early and going for a swim, the view from the pool and the huge selection of tasty food at breakfast afterwards. The room was clean and spacious and staff was friendly. You could choose to relax at two different beaches which were easily reached by foot. Bus connections from and to the hotel were reliable and easy. We would highly recommend this hotel and would come here again!

Booked a stay here for 7 days but we decided to leave half way because it wasn’t enjoyable staying there anymore. There were a few issues: - location - it’s nice to be along the coast but this is just so far away from old town (if that’s what you’re trying to do). There is a bus but the bus is kind of crazy— there are so many stops to old town and every stop so many people try to get on and they have trouble paying etc, it takes like more than 30 min to get to old town. - staff - we didn’t feel welcomed by the staff -housekeeping - the room did not feel sparkling clean. There was some gunk on the floor when we first checked in. - shower design - at least for my room the shower design was quite poor and a lot of water flowed I got eh bathroom floors every time we showered, it was annoying. - food and coffee - the restaurant by the pool served pretty bad coffee. There was also a hair in the chicken Caesar salad we ate. Also there are very little options for restaurants outside that are nearby. Lapad is still quite a far walk Overall we were done staying there and had to leave. But a few things that are good about the hotel, one being this aqua aerobic fitness program, it was so much fun! Would recommend you check that out.

Morning rat race to claim pool chair
While our stay was pleasant and the hotel and service is near perfection, the pool etiquette or rather lack of, was quite disappointing. The pool, which has an amazing view, opens at 8am and people run to claim chairs & daybeds by dropping off their towels, without intention to use it until about 10-11am. The hotel tolerates this dirty game and does nothing to prevent it. I love hotels that have & enforce policies on reserving pool seating therefore we won’t be back here.

Perfect relax
Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel. Amazing pools & room was large with comfy bed & great bathroom / shower. The whole place is spotless & staff very helpful & accommodating. Would definitely recommend. Quiet with only a few places to eat near by but a nice change from the hustle & bustle of Dubrovnik town. Breakfast was very good with amazing views and we ate here a few times at lunch this was also good. Plenty of sun beds & comfy places to sit in the shade when needed! Excellent stay in a very lovely hotel.
