Avenue hotel has always been my “goto place” when visiting Dubai, always have a great time in Manila21 bar.
However.... Reception check in on Tuesday 1st Dec was the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Rude manager. I had booked via Expedia and they would not honour the booking, stating the price wasn’t available due to Expedia using another site to get the best available price. Told me If I wanted a room I would have to pay directly for a room at a “well overstated” price.
Lucky for me, after 10 mins arguing as I had already paid and had confirmation he honoured the booking. Like I said, always use Manila21 bar at this hotel and also stayed previous with no issues. Sad to say, I won’t be staying again, customer service is key especially in these hard times.
