Good hotel, but 4 stars?
I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now and both times have been adequate at best. It is a good cheap hotel if you don’t mind the noise and dated rooms. In their defence, I need to mention that the most hindering noise was due to construction works near by at awkward times. But also the local mosk sounds as if it was build right into your room. The sound insulation is rather poor. Most personnel is friendly though pushy. And checking out requires a room check before you are allowed to leave. Also, they do not recognize a returning customer and keep making copies of your passport. The interior of the room is outdated. The bath/shower combination barely works and has cigaret burns. The bed is really hard. The cigaret burns where especially strange since I requested a “non smoking” room. I guess this was a concession I had to make in order to get my room early. Did I mention it was cheap? If you want a cheap hotel than this will be just fine. WiFi works just great and all primary luxuries are included. However, I do not agree with the four star rating. It is located at perfect walking distance from the Metro station. I have been here twice, but I will not return for a third time.

Goed hotel in de stad
Binnen 5 a 10 minuten vanaf Dubai Airport. Werd geupgrade naar Executive room, was geweldig. Enige kritiekpunt is dat de gordijnen niet goed sloten en eigenlijk te dun zijn om het goed donker te maken.

prima locatie, vriendelijk personeel, matige kamer
Ik heb een premium kamer geboekt maar vond de kamer erg karig. De minibar deur viel uit het scharnier toen ik hem opende. Redelijk schone kamer verder. Geen premium echter, vraag me af hoe de standaard kamer er uit ziet.... Dit was geen 4 sterren waard. Hotel ligt wel op handige locatie op 150m van de metro dus heel Dubai is eenvoudig te bereiken. Super vriendelijk personeel!

hotel is minder dan je verwacht
je komt terecht in een achterstandswijk, hotel is niet wat je ervan verwacht. enigste voordeel is de ligging het ligt dichtbij metrostation en hoofdweg, het eten is heel slecht in het hotel, dus niet eten in het hotel maar lekker buiten eten, genoeg winkels daar, overal winkels. sportzaal is ook slecht, heel klein.

Het was een leuk maar wel wat gedateerd hotel. Was verder schoon. Wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt waar elke dag hetzelfde assortiment werd aangeboden. Dit zou wat ons betreft wat gevarieerder mogen. Hotel ligt op 200m van het metrostation wat het erg prettig maakt om overal heen te reizen. Supermarkt zat zo goed als naast ons. Wij hebben het naar ons zin gehad.

Het Manhatten Avenue Hotel in Deira, Dubai
Het hotel ligt in de directe omgeving van restaurantjes, winkels, metro en bus. Enig minpunt is dat er voor de veiligheid van de gast geen raam of balcondeur open mag. Laat bij vertrek naar de luchthaven niet bellen voor een taxi vanuit het hotel. Stop zelf een taxi langs de weg en je betaalt veel minder. Ze rijden op en af.

Prima hotel, boek deze zeker voor onze volgende reis
Samen met mijn dochter heb ik 12 dagen in dit hotel overnacht, een heel leuke tijd gehad in Dubai en het hotel is echt prima, nette kamers, 2 leuke clubs met live muziek, vriendelijke mensen, zeker een aanrader. Dagelijks gratis shuttle bus naar het strand en een heerlijk zwembad op het dak.

Checking-in & out and staffs are really helpful and room is good but needs to be upgraded. Also balcony needs to re design to use. The location is really the best and can find walkable distance cafe & restaurants. Also the shopping malls. Overall the staying is really good and recommend this place

I think the rooms have been updated in the last couple of years. This is my second stay this year and the room had plenty of light, was clean, and the internet worked well. The location is good. There are lots of groceries and restaurants nearby and Reef Mall and Al Gauraud (Sp?) Mall are within a 10 to 15 minute walk. There is a good bar with a very talented Philippino band on site also. This is a pretty good hotel.

They may have updated the rooms. A year ago I was here and there was trouble getting hot water and wifi. Now that was fine. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is good with a couple of malls, Reef and Al Ghura(?) within walking distance and lots of stores in between. Good entertainment in the Manila21 club on the second level. Overall a pretty good stay for the price.

Hotel Fine - Visit rules a bit Prison-like
Room was large and clean. Hotel a but dated but in good condition and clean. I didn't like the prison-like requirements of demanding ID from anybody you wanted to go back to your room, even for a drink ! It's very controlling and you don't see it in many other hotels - suggests it's a down-market clientele. Didn't like the fact that the hotel does not regard you as able to trust your own invited visitors. For this reason i will not use it again

Avenue hotel has always been my “goto place” when visiting Dubai, always have a great time in Manila21 bar. However.... Reception check in on Tuesday 1st Dec was the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Rude manager. I had booked via Expedia and they would not honour the booking, stating the price wasn’t available due to Expedia using another site to get the best available price. Told me If I wanted a room I would have to pay directly for a room at a “well overstated” price. Lucky for me, after 10 mins arguing as I had already paid and had confirmation he honoured the booking. Like I said, always use Manila21 bar at this hotel and also stayed previous with no issues. Sad to say, I won’t be staying again, customer service is key especially in these hard times. Special thanks go to Mr Numan, extreamly friendly and courteous at all times and to the band and staff in Manila21 - Hazel, Anne, Krissa, Joven, William, Mark, Kiko, Anton.
