Easy access by foot between Pest and Buda. The river Danube in front of you as you step out of the hotel is a plus for photographers, especially at night when the imposing Parliament building is lighted up.They categorise themselves as a business hotel but during my stay, there were families with small children and the usual noisy Chinese travellers, lacking in decorum. Staff is cordial at the reception but helpful, same at the Drawing Room. I would have preferred them to be more engaging. Having said that, I enjoyed the staff at the bistrobar who are more lively. I don't particularly like bacon, ham and eggs however you cook it, but their selection of breads and pastries at breakfast is good. I asked to have a river view on our last night and I was told they will show me the room when I go back from shopping. When I returned, no one took the initiative to approach me or inform me that the room is ready. So we remained in this Art room (103) with no mirror in front of a table. It ends up, we have to go to the bathroom to do everything which I found it inconvenient. The bathroom screen silicone needs maintenance- black "molds" are thriving. The water boiler in the room is basically out of order. The contemporary photos of Donald Sultan didn't blow my mind. No one said goodbye when we left to go to the airport. Our driver came to pick us up and a hotel staff from the reception came to ask me, "are you waiting for your taxi?" End of story.
