Good from far, but far from good
As a frequent traveller for the past 10 years, I have stayed in many 5* hotels (100> in 5 continents). Based on this experience, this one I would rather rate as a top 3* one, or a good 4* hotel. For €150/night, the room had a very small barhroom, no bathtub and provided few things, e.g. there was no vanity kit offered which is standard in all 5* hotels. Also the garage rates were exaggerated at €30 per day, compared to the parking rates of the municipality just in front of the hotel and around it. Further the room felt "packed" as it had for example a big round table in it, which was too much for that little space. The plus points: - Very friendly and professional personnel - Great breakfast buffet with top quality products - Great restaurant with fantastic views of the town - Beautiful lobby area - Great location Also there was a major renovation going on during my stay. To their honor, I had zero disturbance from it. Lest best, for business people, I would suggest the Hilton Budapest city as a better located hotel, in the city-centre, with easy access to anything.

geweldig hotel, top locatie!
Prima hotel, echt 5 sterren waardig, goed Hilton kind, is de naam Hilton waard. Mooie kamers, geweldig, romantisch uitzicht over de Donau, Vissersbastion en parlamentsgebouw.de buurt is ook hoge standaard, Unesco beschermd gebied, plezierig personeel en prima ontbijt. Wij raden iedereen dit hotel aan, Chapeau!

Mooi hotel met adembenemend uitzicht
Ik boekte met een bevriend echtpaar twee kamers met zicht op de Donau in dit luxe hotel voor een periode van anderhalve week. De kamers waren zeer ruim en luxe ingericht en ook de badkamer voldeed aan de verwachtingen. Het meubilair, hoewel in goede staat, is echter wel zo langzamerhand aan vervanging toe. Het hotel is rustig want degelijk gebouwd, tenzij je de pech hebt zeer luidruchtige buren te treffen zoals mijn reisgenoten (gelukkig maar één avond) overkwam. Het uitzicht was fabuleus. Recht tegenover het prachtige parlementsgebouw van Hongarije, gelegen aan de andere kant van de Donau, en met de hoofdtoren van het Vissersbastion, waar het hotel tegenaan gebouwd is, op 100 meter afstand. Dit alles is tot 1 uur 's-nachts prachtig verlicht. De lobby, lounge en het restaurant van dit hotel zijn allemaal conform wat je van een vijf sterren hotel mag verwachten. Boek vooral ook het ontbijt erbij! Dat is zeer luxe en de service van het personeel is ook hier, zoals overal in het hotel, uitstekend. Bovendien heb je tijdens je ontbijt ook weer een prachtig uitzicht op het Vissersbastion, waar de ontbijtzaal (tevens restaurant voor lunch en diner) op uitkijkt. Over het geheel zeer tevreden met dit hotel. Kun je bij het boeken van een aanbieding gebruik maken, zoals wij deden, dan krijg je méér dan waar voor je geld.

We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de Donau en de stad geboekt, helaas stond een van de mooie vestingtorens "in de weg," zodat we het Parlementsgebouw net niet konden zien. De buurt van het hotel (Boeda) is ontzettend rustig en relaxed, als je meer reuring wilt kun je beter een hotel in Pest zoeken, dat scheel een eind lopen of een taxi. De OV verbinding is matig vanaf het hotel. Het ontbijbuffet is een aanrader, is het geld dubbel en dwars waard.

Net hotel aan de rand van de Donau. Het is ongeveer 25 minuten lopen vanaf het centrum. De minibar op de kamer is wel erg duur.

We love this place. We had a room that looks directly to the Parlament, what a treat! Take a walk and take pictures in the fisherman spot before all the tours are coming. The roof top bar has the best views, its very cool place, but very expensive and the kids that run the facility have an attitude. Didn't enjoy that Restaurants around have very good food, like the 21 for dinner and Buda Cafe for breakfast. Also there is a nice supermarket within 4 min walk

Hilton is definitely a fantastic option for Budapest. The room was clean, silent and well-appointed. Found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, if a little chaotic and both the bar and restaurant food was excellent (the burger is superb!) Area gets quite tourist-busy during the day, but it's a really quick walk out to get to the main parts. Public transport is excellent too (use the BudapestGO) app and remember to validate tickets on the QR codes in stations and side of buses Would definitely return

Lovely hotel in a great historical location. Staff are first class. Executive rooms benefit from the exec lounge … all drinks ( for 2 hours ) / breakfast / snacks / coffee etc. Amazing views from nicer rooms over the Danube. Highly recommended.

Amazing room, but the house keeping were quite annoying as they called the door bell and knocked several times each day, first day I had the hanger out on the door but when I looked later during the day it was gone, so either it had fallen down or someone removed it. Last day on my check out they called the doorbell at 08, when my check out time was 11. I have never experienced house keeping wanting to clean your room at the day of checkout, and found that very weird and annoying as I was trying to sleep.

Wow this Hilton is so fantastic. First, it’s in the castle neighborhood right next to a gorgeous church. It is a bit of an isolated neighborhood which my husband loved for security purposes, but it’s easy to ride a tram or take a taxi to the river/city center. The castle neighborhood has excellent food options, including a few Jamie Oliver restaurants within short walking distance. We also had a few great meals at the Hilton. The best part of our stay at the Hilton was the staff. Truly, I don’t know how Hilton always recruits the best people. Hungarians in general are a bit more reserved, we found the loveliest people working when we checked in. The concierge gentleman working the evening of Dec 8 was so wonderful. I believe his name was Akos. He sat with us an explained the city. We were looking for Vizslas while in Hungary which is a very odd request but he pointed out all the parks in the city where we might see one. I wanted to go ice skating and he pointed out several places in the map. He also recommended tours, spas and historical sites. He was so friendly and made our stay personalized. The restaurant staff were also very accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent. The first night my husband had salmon and I had steak. Both were excellently prepared. The second night I tried goulash and my husband tried wild boar - delicious. Thanks Hilton.

Very nice hotel and beautiful location. Housekeeping service was fabulous and quick. Food was amazing. Didn’t like the noisy doors to the bathroom and the fact that my husband wasn’t allowed to order food in the bar to bring to the room. Otherwise we loved the hotel.

Superb 5* hotel. Lovely location. Amazing view of Danube from our room. The Breakfast, the bar, executive lounge all first rate. Staff excellent. This really is how Hilton’s used to be. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
