'Wonderful hotel, such a beautiful old building. Food was delicious, we ate in the brasserie and had breakfast each morning in the gallery restaurant. The staff were spot on, very helpful and attentive. Lavenham itself is a very picturesque village, you feel you have been transported back to another era. Would definitely stay again. '

'Erg indrukwekkende omgeving. Werden bij aankomst netjes ontvangen. De kamers zijn fraai ingericht op zijn Engels in de stijl van het pand. Je kan het oubollig vinden, maar het heeft ook zeker iets aparts met die krakende deuren een hemelbed en bloemetjesgordijnen. Helaas heeft dat oubollige ook een keerzijde, want de badkamer had in onze ogen zijn beste tijd gehad. Twijfelachtige kitranden, vergeeld kunststof en een tikkeltje stoffig. Het hemelbed viel echt het minst in de smaak met zijn 140...

'Helemaal ons ding, lekker shoppen, city sering en gewoon heel gemoedelijk. Mensen zijn ook behulpzaam en netjes. Het hotel was echt zoals een Engels huis moet zijn, oud en lekker knus, je moet er wel van houden, nou wij wel! De omgeving was ook mooi en locatie is top, dichtbij treinstations en centrum. We gaan zeker in juni terug.'

'Spacious and comfortable safari tent with chickens for company. There are only three tents in the field so there is plenty to privacy. A proper shower and flushing loo. Take a water bottle. The night skies were clear and deep. The dragonflies were enormous. The site owners take real pleasure in their land, and their love of the place is catching. We hope to go back.'

'Hotel was fabulous and quirky with great staff, lovely food and located on the harbour, filled with beautiful million pound yachts. However, move away from the harbour and the surrounding area and town centre is the worst I've ever seen. Derelict buildings, unsavoury characters, vape, kebab and other undesirable shops.'

'The hotel is in a beautiful location just a short walk from the Centre of Oulton Broad where there is a lovely park, in interesting museum (with free entry) and a few pubs and restaurants. You can also take a boat trip from here. We highly recommend the food at the hotel, our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.'
