'Very good. Everything in flat was good. Just a little confusing the address stated. This is in Melrose Not Gattonside. Different places'

'The house was clean and complete, we did not miss a thing. Although we did not meet the owner, we felt welcome by the milk and biscuitts. Location is remote, about 10 minutes by car from shops and restaurants. The information on Vrbo shows also pictures of another rental, it was confusing wich pictures were the right ones.'

'We had an enjoyable stay in a clean cosy place but the tiny touches were missing that we have become accustomed to using other holiday booking platforms (such as toilet roll and soap). The booking process through vrbo however was not smooth and the photographs of the accommodation were very misleading, so it's unlikely I'll use vrbo again. I spent over 2 hours finding out who to pay (not vrbo it turns out!), struggled to simply confirm the stay and find out how to access the info to get into...

'The property is a lot bigger than the photos portray. Very spacious. There were also two single beds as well as a double in the area upstairs. Very tranquil surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.'

'We had a lovely stay. As we visited for an event nearby there wasn’t much time to explore the area but the cottage was a great base. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. The dogs loved the large garden and we would definitely return.'

'We recently stayed at May Cottage and it was just what we needed. The cottage is lovely and much bigger than we anticipated, especially the bedrooms - they’re a really big! Kitchen has everything you need and even though we had taken hand wash and washing up liquid etc, it was all provided. Even dishwasher tablets! The views from the garden are exceptional and it was very quiet. We loved sitting watching the families of swallows flying in and out of their nests and listening their babies...

'A beautiful property that was perfect for our needs. There were five adults and four children in our group and it catered, and was accessible, for all. Supermarkets are close, the views are fantastic, and the house itself was clean and tidy. We had to switch the timer off on the heating as it was very cold with it on but the house warmed up very quickly and it was really warm after a while. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone.'

'We loved everything about our stay at Townhead from the glorious views to the cozy and thoughtfully planned house. Communication with the manager and the housekeeping staff before and during the stay was prompt and kind. The welcome drinks and food meant we didn’t have to run into Peebles when we first arrived. We unpacked and would have happily stayed much (much!) longer than a week. It’s a wonderful area to walk and explore but really, you’ll want to stay home and read or write or draw....

We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking.
