Kamer aan de kleine kant, wel goed verzorgd. Douche zorgt voor waterballet want deur heeft flinke kier.Apart toilet fijn. In ontbijtruimte worden geurdispensers gebruikt.Dat leidt tot een overdaad aan vanillegeur! Misselijkmakend en je prieft je ontbijt niet meer.

Heel mooi en schoon hotel op een fantastische goede centrale ligging. De heerlijke geur komt je direct tegenmoet bij binnenkomst. Het personeel was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. bij aankomst kregen wij een bon voor 2 gratis Daiquiri cocktails in de rooftopbar. Wij kwamen al om 10 uur smorgens aan, en mochten van de vriendelijke heer (Jordi) die ons incheckte al op de kamer. Hier had ik eerder al over gemaild en het was kostenloos en geen probleem. Dit heeft ons verblijf een heel stuk prettiger gemaakt aangezien wij midden in de nacht al moesten vertrekken naar Barcelona, erg moe waren en dus even rustig konden bijkomen van de reis. De ligging is echt een top uitvalbasis voor een city trip en het hotel zelf is mooi. Echter zijn de kamers wel iets aan de kleine kant maar dat had ik op deze locatie ook wel verwacht, dus het maakte ons niet veel uit. Voor ons was het een tophotel voor een goede prijs.

We hopen dat de daiquiri's jullie hebben gesmaakt en dat jullie hebben kunnen uitrusten bij de aankomst in het hotel. Jammer dat jullie de kamer nogal klein vonden, we beschikken echter ook over grotere kamers. Aarzel een volgende keer zeker niet om één van onze medewerkers om meer informatie te vragen. This place was great and I would definitely stay there again. Staff was fantastic. They seemed to take a great deal of pride in their hotel. Located just off La Rambla, it was easy to walk to shops and dining. Good breakfast joint a half block away. Rooms are small, but clean and recently remodeled. Well worth the price.

This hotel was in a great location, very accessible to Las Ramblas and the metro. The rooms are a great size with suitable amenities too. The roof terrace was slightly disappointing as there was nowhere to lay out. It was just tables and chairs. The pool is just a plunge pool too so not ideal if you are looking to lay and chill in the sunshine.

The Hotel Espana was a beautiful turn of the century property to stunning frescos and decor with modern amenities. With a location right at the heart of La Rambla and easy access to Liceu metro station it made it ideal for exploring Barcelona.

Very nice hotel a few hundred feet off The Rambles so it was quiet. Rooms were clean and spacious. We had an issue with AC which was quickly resolved. Loved the roof deck. We had drinks and Tapas two nights and quality and service was excellent. I would not recommend using Welcome Pickup (recommended by hotel) for car service. They were slow to respond with pickup verification and came with car that was too small for our stated luggage and tried to extort $30 EU to provide service. Hotel staff got us another taxi quickly.

The property overall is quite plush.... However, overall it was underwhelming... Location is good, however, some might not like the road it is on. The dimley lit interior is cool, but for me the up-lights everywhere were very unpleasant on the eyes. When I first arrived, the greeting was very average, my expedia VIP note was slipped under the door hours after I arrived and I never got to use it. My first key didn't work (they only gave me on), so I was up and down the lift to get another one when this time they gave me two. The wifi passworded changed during my stay, but they did not alert guests, so again, up and down the stairs to get a new one. The bathroom had seen better days, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and the shower head has not been descaled in some time.... For the money, this was not worth it to me.... I would not go back again....
