Our recent stay at Casa Lit Barcelona by Ona was unfortunately way far from satisfactory.
Despite the hotel's advantageous location, several critical issues made our stay extremely uncomfortable.
Upon arrival, it was clear that Casa Lit was more akin to a lodge than a hotel. The room layout was unusual, with the washroom on one side and the shower on the other, and separated only by a curtain. This design flaw caused the room to become damp and warm every time we took a shower.
The troubles began immediately as we entered our room, which was unbearably hot. We found the AC non-operational. The concierge assured us that the AC was functional.
a couple of hours into our stay, we were informed of a leak and had to switch rooms. The new room was also hot, and again, the AC failed to cool the room. Despite informing the concierge the next day, no action was taken, resulting in two sleepless nights.
By the third morning, we were told to email the property manager, but not to expect anything soon since they were not available during long weekend.
The untrained concierge staff exacerbated the situation. They lacked the basic skills necessary to handle guest complaints and manage the situation properly.
Ultimately, we had to find another hotel, losing a day of our trip. The lack of basic amenities, poor customer service, and the overall experience were abysmal. I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Barcelona.
