'Not what I expected to find in Salinas. Very impressed. '

'We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, peaceful and quiet. It is in the perfect location, and it is also well equipped and has everything we need. Communication was fast and easy, and Andy and Jen always replied quickly and made sure we settled in properly. We had a great time in this cozy house and would love to be back again!'

'This was a great spot to stay in order for us to check out the entire Monterey Bay region. Even though it’s a little off the main roads, it placed us 25-40 min from all of the main areas we wanted to visit; from Monterey and Carmel by the Sea (maybe 35 max), state park beaches nearby (some 10-15, some 20-25 or further depending on which you choose- Sunset and Pajaro were lovely in the evenings) all the way up past Capitola (25) and Santa Cruz(30) to Felton and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park...

'I rarely write detailed reviews of lodging, however, I am writing today to say the level of care and attention taken to every detail of this stay was superior. The management was friendly, helpful and generous with their time. The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. I arrived at around 6:00 pm to find a lovely assortment of refreshments including fine wine and an assortment of hors d'oeuvres. Somenone was on board to help with luggage. I will definitely stay at the St. Charles again.'

'Daniel could not have been more accommodating. Geographically challenged. Got here, Daniel stayed with me until I got into this adorable little place. Enjoyed my stay visiting my grandchildren who live near by. '

'The house is adorable and extremely comfortable. Both my husband and I were obsessed with the bed and the amazing wrap around porch. Everything in the house is high functioning and the view to the river is beautiful. It’s a long windy drive up and down to the house but it’s worth it. Everything about the River house makes you slow down and enjoy this beautiful part of California. '

'The room was very nice. It is very close to everything we wanted to do and easy to get around to other things. There is a very comfortable bed, couch and chairs to relax. I would recommend this place.'

'We were contacted by the property manager that the original house we rented had a plumbing issue so he quickly made arrangements for us to stay at a nicer home at the same price. The communication with the property manager was much appreciated and the home we stayed in was comfortable with everyone having their own bedrooms. It was a quiet neighborhood and a nice place to stay while visiting Monterey.'

"Prima verblijf voor 1 nacht. Restaurant is dicht op zondag en dat is echt niet fijn als je juist die dag aankomt na een lange doorreis. Zwembad en bubbelbad zijn lekker verwarmd, niet milieuvriendelijk maar wel leuk voor onze kinderen die graag wilden zwemmen. Fijn dat er handdoeken waren bij het zwembad. Ontbijt is a la carte en heeft ons goed gesmaakt. Fijne sfeer in het restaurant. Kamers zeer gehorig en met name de badkamer gedateerd. we hebben ieder toiletbezoek en douche van de buren boven en naast ons gehoord afgewisseld door de rammelende minibar op onze kamer. Kortom, niet echt uitgerust maar het was ok voor 1 nacht! "
