I planned this getaway for a birthday celebration for two based on the excellent reviews. Unfortunately villa divina did not live up to it. Im extremely upset because i thought the staff would be attentive and top notch. We ended up in a tourist trap. The location and surroundings are run down. You ring the call button and wait for entry. We were greeted by Omar he proceeds to inform us of the resort fee and 100 dollar incidental fee per night. He says im upgrading your room. We dont know why but we're going with it. Well its down at least five flights. The room was not impressive or like the pictures. I barely slept because of a smell, ants on the bed and geckos on my toiletries. We attempted contact noone answered. The next morning ants were in my snacks and luggage. We complained only for Lupita to tells us we're in the jungle and never apologize. We change rooms which was somewhat better. Only to discover ants inside the glass on the desk which got in my freakin luggage again. We brought up our concern to Omar response i have a life. We felt ignored and i dont know why we paid over 300 a night. They pushed for the restaurant only for us to sit there and wait while they look at us. Pasqual was the best with room service but our tray was left in the room with ants all night. Lupita (manager)never introduced herself or ask was everything ok with your stay. Note youre locked in the building only staff can let you in or out!!! Never again! Avoid this place!!!
