Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay. « Hotel is welcoming, people are nice and Professional. Room was comfy, super clean, free spot for the car, breakfast so British (really liked it). I felt like a "guest" & not like a random room number, I really appreciated it. Plus we can have a dinner at the Blue bell restaurant nearby (plus free wifi) at a very moderate price. Defo go for it, won't regret it !!! »

« I booked in January for a summer weekend, arrived in July to find hotel closed and had to find another hotel. I contacted the hotel through expedia and through their website twice in the week running up to my stay. The Guest House did not respond I arrived to find Hall Bank Guest House locked up and closed. I had to find emergency accomodation for the night. I suggest that potential holidaymakers think very carefully before risking booking Hall Bank Guest House »

« This was our second stay at the bistro Check in was quick and staff friendly and very helpful Beds are very comfy and I love you can make a cuppa in the morning you can pay for a breakfast in the morning in the bistro which I can say was very nice This is a very nice place to stay & the village is lovely with a good selection of pubs Never disappointed »

« The property was in the perfect location. Very central within a few minutes walk to the central square, restaurants, bars, theatre, shops. Bus stop right outside with the service covering up & down the coast. It was clean & the bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were provided as were tea and coffee facilities. The host was lovely. »

En revanche, la chambre n'était pas du tout à la hauteur du prix,chambre petite, vieillote, tout-à-fait ordinaire, ne mérite même pas 1 étoile.La cuisine ne donnait pas du tout envie de cuisiner, et la salle de bains possédait 1 lave-main étroit plutôt qu'1 lavabo. Nous sommes allés dans des hôtels voisins, beaucoup moins chers, et d'un autre standing! les propriétaires étaient malgré tout...
