'Overall, very pleased! Fantastic area..close to everything, and the room was clean and spacious. If you're expecting a hotel experience though, this might not be the place for you. Getting in was a bit challenging..needed help from the kind gentleman in the office. The instructions are straight forward once you've done it, but this being our first experience with codes to get in and out, and figuring out the parking situation would have been a bit stressful had we not had help. 'Really liked Alexander Hotel. The location is fantastic - right in the middle of Old Montreal and a quick walk to any of the sites. Perfect location. The staff were courteous and the check in and out process was really, really quick. The room was lovely. Very well appointed with a kitchenette, washer, dryer, small cafe table to sit at. I only spent one night in town, but was comfortable and enjoyed it.'

'The hotel needs some updating. Furniture is worn and some is broken. Walls have a fair amount of damage that a coat of paint would solve. Both toilet paper holders were broken and falling off the wall.'

'Booked for my parents who were in town. After we had finished for the day I checked them around 9PM, we were told that a parking pass would left on the table, none was found. Reached out to the host but took too long to respond so I had to pay to park the car in an alternate garage several blocks away., even though parking was supposed to be included. Communicated with the host for reimbursement and never received an answer. If I need to book another room in the area, I will choose somewhere...

'Liked: a) the amenities, although couldn’t find the silverware. b) location Didn’t like: a) the check-in, impersonal and almost creepy with the darkened entry and hallways. b) the parking information. Not clear in the registration and hard to dig out in the passport. c) the luggage drop-off and pick-up, not clear in the registration or passport.'

'The location was superb! We are a family of 4 and only had about 30 hours in Montréal and wanted to make the most of it without having to stay far from old town. The sites were super close and our kids had a lot of fun. We were in town for a concert and getting to and from the Bell Center was only a $12 Uber away.
