« The Apple Tree Inn is a lovely property. You will not enjoy it. An email came today (late October), the inn proudly announcing live music almost every night of the week. Until 1 AM! We were there in early September when there was live music only on Wednesday and Saturday though nothing was said on the inn's website. Be careful if you are offered a for pay upgrade. « Wonderful 19th century inn! We had a spacious corner room with pullout sofa. We enjoyed sitting out on the beautiful balcony. Comfortable, relaxing, quiet stay. As long as you are not expecting a modern, chain-brand property, and have a car, you will enjoy this place! Note, The Old Inn is almost 2 miles from the delicious breakfast spot and about a 16 minute drive to Great Barrington, which is the closest town. There is no lobby or front desk (or tv or coffee maker, etc in room) as one would...

Very accomodating staff... although many appeared to be a training mode. Need to improve the professionalism a bit. They have a new general manager (had only been there about 2 weeks when we visited)... seems he has a number of things on his agenda that will improve the property even more.
