'This hotel has ruined me for all other hotels! This boutique hotel was a peak experience for our stay in Mexico City. It is located on a lovely, quiet street, only about a 10 minute walk to the historic city center sights of the Cathedral, the Zocalo, and Templo Mayor. The surrounding streets are pulsing with foot traffic and small shops. It is not tourist territory and it feels very safe, even as night falls. The hotel itself is gorgeous architecturally.'

'Our stay at the Umbral was excellent. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. The amenities were top-tier, and the restaurant attached to the hotel was outstanding and very convenient. The only minor criticism would be the scent used in the main lobby. It was a pleasant fragrance, but a bit overpowering at times. That said, it certainly wasn’t enough to affect our overall experience or rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.'

'El hotel es muy limpio y el personal de recepción son muy amables, lo que no me gustó que en el restaurante la mesera que estaba en turno tenía mal carácter y hacía caras no quería atender, deben ser amables y respetar su horario de atención ya que pregunte en recepción y me comentaron que estaba abierto el restaurante hasta las 10 eran las 9 de la noche y cuando le pregunté por la carta me comentó que ya no había servicio para nadie y mejor me salí , es lo único que no me gustó.'

'Het hotel is slecht onderhouden, met heel krappe kamers, zeer slechte verlichting in kamers, waardoor men niet eens op bed een krant kan lezen; als men mazzel is er een klein bureautje, ook zonder verlichting. Badkamer is matig geoutilleerd en slecht onderhouden. Ontbijt is inbegrepen maar op sommige dagen is er een rij van 10-15 meter om in de veel te krappe ontbijtruimte op de bovenste verdieping te komen. Dan is het wachten en wachten of omkeren en buiten de deur ontbijten. '
