'The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. 'It's an old traditional Japanse Ryokan. The owners are super sweet and friendly people. They speak verry little english but it all worked out. We stayed for 2 nights including breakfast. The son picked us up from the train station (we told him we would walk from the station to the Ryokan but he was there anyway, so nice!!) and the next day he drove us to the snow monkey park. There is an small onsen in the hotel (which is also the bathroom) Beware the onsen is SUPER hot! You can use it privat....
