« This pub is one of our favourites! We stayed for a second time round on our way to Suffolk from Brittany. The food is superb, location and landscape stunning, accomodation clean and comfy. The staff is always smiling and friendly. What more can one possibly want? Hopefully, we'll be back! »

« Mon mari et moi avons passé un très agréable séjour à cet hôtel situé à quelques kilomètres de Douvres. Le personnel était particulièrement accueillant. Nous avons apprécié le restaurant où nous avons mangé de délicieux mets. La chambre (nommée Granby) était spacieuse, le lit confortable et la salle de bain complètement rénovée. « Stayed in the windmill for just one night after arriving from France after a long drive. What a place! Gorgeous old English pub with lots of places to smack your head and absolutely nothing is straight… the room itself is lovely and simple with a great bed and everything you could need. « Beautifully decorated room and bathroom, very comfortable bed. We had food and drinks at the Seadog pub which we would highly recommend. The only downside was the noise which was to be expected above a pub on a Saturday night but could also hear people going up and down the stairs during the night. Otherwise could not fault and host very helpful. »

« A very pleasant stay. Mary was lovely, and so was the service in the restaurant. The meal lacked seasoning and sauce, and the fries were undercooked. The next morning at breakfast, the brown bread was missing. It's a shame, but it doesn't spoil the overall impression too much. »

« Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation.
