'We had a lovely stay at the Lower Spires. The cottages were pleasant to stay in. They were clean, and fully equipped. The garden was beautiful and perfect for our dogs to run around and play. The area was also very beautiful. It was very quiet but there were plenty of things to do. The information we received from James in advance was very useful. we had a wonderful time in the Lower Spires and if we return to Exmoor we will certainly book the cottages again!'

'Terrible property - due to stay here for 5 nights but posed such a health risk that we left immediately and checked in elsewhere at great expense. Sacks of rubbish left, outdoor dining area unusable, dangerous shower, bedroom fans covered in thick dust and mould. Is not as described - is a mid terraced property, not semi-detached as the pictures suggest. Neighbours garden full of trade waste and arguing with each other so would have been unpleasant to sit outside. Undesirable area. Do not stay...

'We had a good time in Nether Stowey, although the cottage was a little bit smaller than we thought (we think that below there is not enough space for 5). The 2nd floor was great, with our own bath room, but our adult children, who slept on the 1st floor, had some sleeping problems with the springs in the matrasses.
